Again more nonsense, sam. My statement was an accurate explanation of how, and why, certain things are done in certain ways in Congressional committee investigations. The people who brought in John Dean really did believe him to be a credible witness, and, you'll note, the press dutifully reported it that way. Whether or not YOU assign -any- credibility to this is simply irrelevant.
Vic Mordecai has a org in Israel that monitors Arabic and Farsi broadcasts. Says the Arabs are the biggest double-dealing phonies you can imagine. Will say one thing in Eng. for the benefit of all the suckers out there who want to sing cumbyah, but in Arabic are calling for the destruction of Israel and the U.S. (even so-called "moderates") in most unflattering terms (we are commonly refered to as "apes", "swine", "monkeys", etc. in the Arab press). The press in the ME (mostly gov controlled) is behind ginning up riots in these countries. Iranians openly boasting about nuking Israel.
LOL!!
I'd answer you....Cuz I'd be so impressed that a Texan knew the word.
(vbg)
FRegards,
On Yousef's laptop (maybe an Outlook file) seized in Cebu City says that he met with a "Nick" on such and such a day.
Yes, we are very much being played the fools in the ME. But what do I know, I am just a monkey?
About Yousef and his meeting with Nick--why do you suppose that whole incident with the e-mail, Nick Berg and Moussaui connection was brushed off as mere coincidence and the normally rabid media just let it go as such? I mean, c'mom!
I need to buy some more Reynolds Wrap. Yikes.
Bump the thread
I don't know about Nick Berg, but I think the "Nick" Yousef was referring to was Terry Nichols.
You're probably right. But I am still curious about the Nick Berg connection--and of course in OKC on top of it.
Well, of course, I pronounced it in Texanese - "Bodark."
Having been on the receiving end of an Osage Orange fight or two in childhood, "them horse apples" are not something one forgets!
LOL!!
Agreed.....
"The Tulsa World got ahold of the memo ..."
That's why. The lib paper in the state, which has nothing to lose because it's in Tulsa, not OKC - the actual bombing site with its name attached forever in infamy - doesn't mind expending its energies trying to track down anything that might lead back to a Pubbie somewhere being at fault, as in Bush41.
The O'homan OTOH, bless their hearts, won't expend any energy at all doing anything. They just don't. Ever. Some of the letters to Dear Abby make them cringe; they're that "conservative" in the "to the right of Attila the Hun" sense.
So am I, but my mind's a little more open. Maybe with a sho-nuff oil boom back on, they'll kick up their heels a bit, as in the old days, and go back to snooping around. But don't count on it. As long as the Baptists and Muslims peacefully co-exist in the community, which they have for a long time - and I won't say out loud why that is - everyone can eat falafel and hummus and no one's sensibilities are upset.
Thanks doug... a lot of us are digging for our old links (the dispatcher calls, stills and video of the area... etc.), to consolidate and refresh the timeline as it was during that time.
Did anyone send this to Tony Snow or Rush?
BTTT
Ok. You win. I'll just stop trying to understand why you guys can't get any traction. You obviously don't think you need any help.
Bump the thread.
Please send it.
While I understand the root of your position (Tulsa World = lib, DOK = extreme conservative), this seems more accurate historically than it is currently. I have noted considerable liberalizing since Christy took over after the passing of her father, including on the editorial page.
I think the reason they don't pursue this is journalistic laziness and conservatism in the sense of seeking to maintain the status quo. In addition, they don't want to be seen as the latest iteration of the "grassy knoll" group, at least in their own mind.
Agreed.
"The TRUTH is out there" ping to myself.
I must provide one correction, however. "Patels" are NOT Middle Eastern. They are Indian; It is true that "Patel" is as common among Indians as "Smith" is among English ancestry folks.
It is also a fact that Indians have taken over the motel trade in this country.
