McKinney is having another news conference at 10:30 Eastern this morning, supposedly with something new to report about the incident.

Curious this never seems to happen to J. C. Watts or Maxine Waters.

Is is just me ....or should the whole of congress and the Senate have to wear ID badges, or at least have to show ID without being able to waltz around security. I understand they wear these little pins, which Ms. Mckinney couldn't even bother to wear...but come on. These guys are OUR employees...they should have to show ID.

Only in an America dominated by feminists and race-hucksters could someone get away with assault and blame those who she assaulted for their racism.
The USA has created a privileged class which can do no wrong! The media carefully avoids making this class take responsibility for their actions, and so they get away with whatever they want and blame us for racism!

Before I retired several years ago, I worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority, a Federal agency. Before 9/11 and, especially, in its aftermath, we adopted extensive security requirements where each of us had photographic identification and a proximity badge we could use to get into the areas we were authorized to be in. Assaulting a TVA police officer who merely asked one of us for identification probably would have gotten any one of us fired. I also remember stories from the Army where a rather junior PFC or corporal on guard duty would stop a colonel and demand proper identification that the colonel did not have and would be commended for following his orders and stopping the colonel. All McKinney had to do was politely say she was a congress critter and produce proper identification, something nearly all of her colleagues would have automatically done. She ought to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for her disgraceful conduct.

I've updated this old file:

with Jihad Cindy's latest adventures in self-parody.

On a less-funny note, be sure to use the links to see who provided most of her funds during her re-election bids. You won't be amused...

This is amazing to me. Where I work, I have to wear 2 badges. They have to be visible pretty much all of the time. People have the right (and the duty) to question who I am if they don't see the badges.

Why are the rules for Mizz McKinney any different (rhetorical question).

The fact is several witnesses have said the officer involved asked McKinney to stop three times. When she refused, he placed a hand on her shoulder, at which time she whirled around and struck him on the chest with her cell phone. My question is this: why wasn't she thrown to the ground and handcuffed like anyone else would be if they assaulted an officer refusing to identify herself?

This falls under the heading of "No good deed goes unpunished."

Since the officer is going to be raked over the coals for showing restraint, I say the officers should, from this point forward, pepper spray any uncooperative individuals. Follow that up with a few baton blows, a couple of jolts from a TASER, and finally a very public strip search.

I'm sure that after this happens only once, the rest of the self-important will toe the line.

I say let everybody in to Congress, proper id or not. Maybe we'll get lucky.

It’s quite evident that we have fostered a culture of spoiled brats who have learned how to absolve themselves of any responsibility for their illegal, immoral and unethical behavior.

I blame Lyndon Johnson.
