The other day I was at the self check out lane at the store and was thinking how stupid it was to have English and mexican on the machine. Does it really need to be in mexican in order to zip-beep manudo?
I thought of the mexican labor walk outs I've read about before and thought it would be cool if we could flip the English Only switch for a couple of days while they do their walk out. Too bad there is no switch.
Many illegals are not here to assimilate. They are here because we have made it convienient for them. Border enforcement is just for show, it's a joke. Enforce the laws that are already in place. The Government needs to demontsrate that it can control the border before we offer the ones that are here anything.
It appears you have me mixed up with BIG DOG and I can see why you might be upset with me if I was BIG DOG.

Sorry but you may find that there are a lot more of us "anti-immigrant types" (Usually refered to as AMERICANS) out there than your limited mental abilities could comprehend.
And while an Americans strike might not get the news coverage that the illegals and leftist do, the reduction in tax revenues, generated by a one-day shut down of productive workers and their employers, would definitely get the attention of the government.
I think it's a good idea, but hard to implement because of the fact that we ARE Americans and have responsibilities that we will not shirk.
That being said, I have been thinking along similar lines but more of "A Day Without Income Taxes". Now that IMO would make the mopes in Congress, oops, our elected Representatives, sit up and take notice. As if every American took off a day without pay, and the gubmint got zero income tax for one single day - which they direly need to 'feed the beast', they'd go apoplectic.

Too bad, but I suppose it had to happen. The party suffers from growing pains in the efforts to win elections, and some adjustments are needed and will certainly occur now.

It's strange, it gets a whole lot more expensive when you ship them in from China or Africa. It's pretty cheap when you don't.
