Take an American Flag to Work Day, Thursday, April 6, 2006.
All patriotic Americans who have been concerned (to put it mildly) about the predominance of flags of foreign nations at the recent pro-illegal alien marches and the desecration of the American flag by supporters of illegal aliens are being asked to participate in a demonstration of patriotism and American sovereignty by taking an American flag with them to work, school or anywhere this Thursday, April 6.
How it works is simple: Proudly carry an American flag with you wherever you are in public. Small parade style flags on sticks would work best for those who commute by bus or subway and those who walk to work. Carry it around with you when you go out for lunch and when you leave work.
Wear red, white and blue patriotic attire. Fly the American flag at your home. Fly an American flag from your car antenna. Tape an American flag in your car window. The goal is to have Old Glory be given the prominence it deserves and to remind everyone--politicians, illegal aliens and their enablers--that the American flag comes first in this country.
Folks have been clamoring for a march to respond to the pro-illegal alien marches. This is a way to do that without having to take time off from work and family responsibilities and still take a stand in public.
John McCain has been touting the pro-illegal alien marches as being effective in influencing polticians in Washington. Now's your chance to exercise your influence.
Please pass this message along to everyone you know and every patriotic blogger you can think of. Contact any patriotic group you belong to. Contact your local media and talk radio shows. We don't have George Soros to bankroll a publicity campaign. We just have us. Stand up for America and Old Glory this Thursday.
Done- emails sent to everyone we know including a few liberals that are probably cringing right now. Does life get any better? :):):):) Thank you for the heads up - as always- you are on the fore front of the battle.
Agreed. I say five, but I can think of many people off the top of my head that would go. Mainly, because I know so many folks in Atlanta that would go in a minute since it is not that far away to DC. Once you start talking airfare, hotel, trasportation, etc, it puts alot of people off. Especially when "special interest" groups are not paying the way.
I know of instances here locally, where officials have tried to clamp down on these invaders, and the feds come in and give the issue a federal juridiction. The locals are having their hands tied by Washington. And Washington needs to hear from us....in person.
Patriotic ping!
Great Pic!
This one is my favorite...
Thanks for the ping on this great idea. We will use the flags we used at the Crawford rallies last HOT summer. They are special.
The problem is that when liberals have a protest rally they always have them in the middle of a liberal enclave like Washington D.C., Los Angelos or NYC. The largest part of the protestors do not have to come in from out of town. I think the only way you could possibly have a significant turn-out is if you had it in a very conservative large city. I'm not even sure there is such a place, but I'm positive that Washington D.C. is out of the question for a significantly large conservative protest.
And when we aren't driving that... We are driving this...
Oops.. sorry, we have updated vehicles since that truck, and I don't have a new picture... But, you get the idea. . . .
OOPS! Got to be careful don't want to slip into covetousness and be in trouble with the Big-Guy in heaven!
I'll put it on my backpack :)
Seriously.
We just ordered magnetic flags for our vehicles online. (plus secure our border bumper stickers... extra for friends & family) We have been going into the gas stations and stores around our area asking for magnetic flags and telling them why we are looking for them. A cashier today at WalMart gave my husband one of those ribon flags with the statue of liberty on it... She went and dug it out of someplace. I am hoping this sparks the stores to re-stock.
;-) We have a LOT of fun... This years appearances are pretty sparse. Unfortunately, people have forgotten.
Thanks for the ping! Great idea.
I say we all fly Old Glory proud and high on May 5th in the face of all of the ILLEGALS!!!!!
I went out today and bought 5 yards of red, white and blue striped ribbon for my 7 granddaughters ponytails, top-knots, pig-tails, braids, etc. My babies are set!!!!!!!
Ping for Old Glory !!!!!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
