Take an American Flag to Work Day, Thursday, April 6, 2006.
All patriotic Americans who have been concerned (to put it mildly) about the predominance of flags of foreign nations at the recent pro-illegal alien marches and the desecration of the American flag by supporters of illegal aliens are being asked to participate in a demonstration of patriotism and American sovereignty by taking an American flag with them to work, school or anywhere this Thursday, April 6.
How it works is simple: Proudly carry an American flag with you wherever you are in public. Small parade style flags on sticks would work best for those who commute by bus or subway and those who walk to work. Carry it around with you when you go out for lunch and when you leave work.
Wear red, white and blue patriotic attire. Fly the American flag at your home. Fly an American flag from your car antenna. Tape an American flag in your car window. The goal is to have Old Glory be given the prominence it deserves and to remind everyone--politicians, illegal aliens and their enablers--that the American flag comes first in this country.
Folks have been clamoring for a march to respond to the pro-illegal alien marches. This is a way to do that without having to take time off from work and family responsibilities and still take a stand in public.
John McCain has been touting the pro-illegal alien marches as being effective in influencing polticians in Washington. Now's your chance to exercise your influence.
Please pass this message along to everyone you know and every patriotic blogger you can think of. Contact any patriotic group you belong to. Contact your local media and talk radio shows. We don't have George Soros to bankroll a publicity campaign. We just have us. Stand up for America and Old Glory this Thursday.
Thanks. Very nice. It is my wallpaper, now, also.
Why wait until Thursday?
Why wait until Thursday INDEED BTTT!!!!
Have had an American flag on my desk at work for years. But it is nice to know more people will be joining me. :)

You'd probably be Reginald Dennied at the first red light, and the American Snivel Liberties Union would be pushing for hate crimes prosecution.
Probably get charged with some kind of hate crime.
Those flags were replaced by those colorful huge sticker's, but of many types, support our troops was first
Ran to the dollar store at lunchtime and stocked up on mini flags and flag "toothpicks". Plan to hand them out on Thursday. (While I wear my Scots tartan, since it's also Tartan Day. And Army day. Great combination!)
I am a little bit more liberal on the illegal immigration issue than many freepers but when they start hoisting another nations flag over or replacing our national flag with theres, no matter there nationality, I will never stand by and let that happen.
You are correct and thank you for the ping!
Thanks for the reminder.
;0)
And, thanks for the ping.
ping
And will ping to our contacts outside of FR
Alrighty! Great idea.
I have had one on my apartment door for years. Will wear something festive on Thursday.
You work in a restaurant....are there any Mexican employees that might not come to work because of the protests??
Also, how would the management of your restaurant like it if you maybe could decorate the restaurant with some flags and stuff on Thursday?
Well we have a huge honking American Flag flying from our Flag pole so I don't think they will object. We have only a couple of Mexican kids working at our restaurant and they speak English with an American accent so they were raised here I am preety sure.
Thanks Red. How about it Kristinn? We could have state chapters organize busloads? I don't believe we have a state chapter here in Alabama, but I know GA and FL Freepers that could get it going in their states. I will post on my state forum and see what we can get. And don't forget, as much as we are at odds with the democrats, I do know several not so liberal ones in my state that would support a protest. Who knows? We might actually get them to see the light.
