John McCain Praises Pro-illegal Protests

Sunday, April 2, 2006 11:58 a.m. EDT John McCain Praises Pro-illegal Protests

Sen. John McCain is praising the recent wave of pro-illegal immigration demonstrations, saying that if the protesters hang tough they will succeed in forcing Congress to liberalize immigration laws.

"If such demonstrations continue, I think we will have a bill for the President to sign soon," the Arizona Republican told a New York City gathering on Friday sponsored by the Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform.

"The more debate, the more demonstrations, the more likely we will prevail," McCain added, in quotes picked up by the New York Daily News.

The Irish group backs the McCain-Kennedy bill that would allow illegal aliens already in the U.S. to stay and work toward citizenship.

McCain offered the comments as the city girded for its first major pro-illegal rally - a march across the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday that ended in lower Manhattan.

Despite the Arizona Republican's support, marchers on Saturday sounded decidedly anti-GOP.

"We are fed up," said Humberto Suarezmotta, a former professor from Colombia, told the News.

"Since the Mayflower, immigrants have been coming here and now we have Republicans who are against minorities."

"The people united will never be defeated!" other demonstrators chanted in Spanish. "We're not going, but Bush can leave!"

McCain is inciting insurrection and riot, and he's proud to do so. He is despicable.

Praises the criminal mexican flag wavers? UNBELIEVABLE!

And you have Senator Graham saying we need to get out of Iraq because there is no support for the war anymore.

When I called McCain's office last week - the staffer told me that it is our "moral responsibility" to take in everyone who wants to come to the U.S. EVERYONE.

Thank you, BQ.

Well, there you have it, folks. This is the crap we have to put up with here in AZ, and unfortunately, when his ^%$# hits the fan, it affects the entire country.

We are sorry for it. If there is any way, our recall drive gets in gear, we will all benefit from it.

So welcome :) I know other people were planning to call after me, but I don't know if anyone else got this staffer.

There are so many people I run into in AZ who are registered Repubs and think McCain is just great. Once I start talking to them, they realize there is more than meets the eye with Mc.

I never cared for him, but the more I read and hear on FR, the more horrified I am. The staffer who could care less what I thought, implied I should pay more taxes to support the rest of the world, and all but called me a liar about the waiting time in the emergency rooms here was something else!

Is that a U.S. senator encouraging illegals to break U.S. law?

McCain belongs in a padded cell, not the US Senate let alone the Oval Office.

Round up ALL the illegals and ship 'em back.

Sorry. Before I would vote for McCain (even if it meant a Hillary victory) I dare say myself (and many other Nam Vets)would as soon sit that one out.

After his castigation and denigration of the Swift Boat Vets (even before their book was published)coupled with his stalwart support of the traitorous "Snake" (Kerry) and his refusal to even consider the damage, hurt, pain and suffering, this phony SOB had been directly responsible for (not to mention his overall liberal viewpoints on so many issues and I won't even delve into the POW/MIA issue)would lead me to say: "It would be a cold day in hell ...."

Yes, we'd have to support him against the Rat nominee -- any Rat.

No way, no how. Never. may as well go full steam ahead into the abyss.

Hah - she was so much on her bleeding heart roll, I bet she would have told me we have to admit them too! After all, we are ALL so rich and it's all our fault they became criminals...

I'm sure the staffer is a Liberal, I can't believe she's a Republican, but hey, look at McCain, so what do I know?

"The people united will never be defeated!" other demonstrators chanted in Spanish. "We're not going, but Bush can leave!"

But Bush is in favor of them staying! How many other protestors believe this way? How ridiculous!

Good, that ought to put a fork in his chances.

1. Its another one of those things that makes it really hard to like McCain. I'm not one who would refuse to vote for him, as I'd take him over Hillary

McCain = Hillary + penis - testicles.

McCain has even went to the extent of criticizing the war in Iraq. He is not a republican or even a RINO, he is a new Democrat.
