We need to hold our representatives responsible no matter which party they belong to.

I work in the automotive manufacturing industry as a tier 1 supplier to many car companies.

Our division is in a struggle for survival right now. We can hardly compete with even our Canadian divisions as far as profitability is concerned because of one issue; employee benefits and wages.

As our division tries to stay afloat even though our efficiencies are very good the next target to reduce costs is labor (big shock). The reality of the situation is that if aliens on a temporary worker program were brought in to replace the hourly production workers we would be making a substantial profit overnight.

How do American workers avoid being replaced by cheap foreign or domestic labor is a huge part of the illegal immigrant issue.

I don't believe post cards, emails or hand delivered letters will get it...What do we do??? Threaten to vote them out??? They know they will just be replaced by clones of themselves...

The mexicans are rallying...Nationwide...And they don't have to bus people anywhere...That's because they are united in their stand...

Until Americans get that united, we'd have to bus the same people all over the country to be noticed...

We're used to having the gov't take care of us...It's going to be very uncomfortable to fight this thing...Not many people want to get that uncomfortable...'Let the gov't do it'...Problem is, the gov't is on THEIR side...

Americans will have to get united and be visable...

*** I sent "pink slips" on Saturday to 53 California Congressmen and 2 Senators.
*** I made labels from a list that I can copy for further mailings. (This took about an hour)
*** I took 8 1/2 X 11 fuscia card stock and printed four messages on each.
*** Then I stuck a stamp on each and MAILED them.

I suggest developing a legal theory to sue the employers of black market labor--illegal employment violates the rights of US citizen employees and US legal resident employees.

If you're denied employment, or decent legal remuneration, or are out-bid by a contractor using black-market labor...why can't you sue?,/i>

How about this?

Dear Patriotic American,

Thank you for contacting the Minuteman Project and asking what you can do for your country. Our Phone lines are swamped, our mail boxes are full and we have stretched our resources to the limit. Most of you have asked, “what are we going to do, when will we do it and where will it happen?”. We will take to the streets in protest, we will march on Washington and we will make our voices heard. The uprising of the pro Illegal immigration marches were planed by Spanish languages radio networks for months, we have only a few weeks to respond.

We are organizing a rolling protest called “The Minuteman Caravan”. This will be a town to town, state to state convoy to the Capital. Some will only be able to ride with us for a few miles while others will take the road from Los Angelis to D.C. the entire way. We will stop at the Capital lawn, clogging the streets and forcing the lawmakers to hear our voice!

This is our last, best hope to save our jobs and our culture. In order to accomplish this monumental task, we need everyone to stand up and chip in. What can you do to help?

Organize a chapter: Gather others from your area together and start a chapter. The opposition uses myspace.com to gather support, so can you. When you have your team together, contact me at ed@minutemanproject.com and I will send you more information.

Donate to the cause: The board of Directors are not only working without pay, we have also committed our personal coffers to the cause. We need to raise a large sum of money immediately to accomplish our goals and keep up the fight. Please go to www.minutemanproject.com and click on our secure donation form. We need money, equipment, RV’s, stop locations and fundraisers now!

Volunteer your time: You can help raise money by organizing local fundraisers, take a watch on the border, donate food and equipment to the border watch, or volunteer your special skills. This will be a historic event you will be proud to have been a part of.

This is the time, we may never have another. Together we can close the border and end the debate.

Thank you,

Edwin R Williams

S. P. Director, The Minuteman Project

I have been a Bush supporter from the very start. However I no longer am because he refuses to do anything to protect our borders. He is no better than Klintoon or Carter because he upholds the law only when it suits him. Flame away!

I don't believe in petitions. The time has come to speak with money. No more Chipotle, no more patronizing any business that employs these people. You're here to work? I will deny your employer my business. Good luck to you.

Start by impeaching or flat out removing the position that this Fed. Judge has.

Associated Press Nov. 30, 2004 06:12 PM TUCSON - A federal judge on Tuesday temporarily barred the state from implementing a ballot initiative aimed at cutting illegal immigrants off from public benefits. U.S. District Judge David C. Bury's order said a lawsuit by initiative opponents raised questions about the constitutionality of Proposition 200, which was approved by voters on Nov. 2. His temporary restraining order bars the measure from becoming law until at least Dec. 22, when he has scheduled a hearing on the lawsuit. "We believe that this is a promising start to ensure that the proposition doesn't become law," said Ann Marie Tallman, president and general counsel of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, which filed the lawsuit on behalf of the plaintiffs, including several undocumented immigrants. advertisement The suit filed here Tuesday argues that Proposition 200 is unconstitutional because it usurps the federal government's power to regulate immigration. Proposition 200 requires proof of immigration status when obtaining certain government services and proof of citizenship when registering to vote. Government workers who don't report illegal immigrants who try to get benefits face jail time and a fine. The judge's order said his decision shouldn't be construed as a comment on the legality of the proposition. Bury said the order would give the court time to consider issue. Gov. Janet Napolitano's spokeswoman, Jeanine L'Ecuyer, said Napolitano had been planning to sign a proclamation Wednesday declaring that Proposition 200 is state law. However, she and Napolitano general counsel Tim Nelson said the judge's order apparently bars the governor from issuing the proclamation. "Our understanding is that the judge's intent is that it not take effect," L'Ecuyer said.

No matter how many propositions or acts of Congress pass denying Federal or State benefits given to illegals, there will always be a Judge or an appellate court to overturn the law. The only way to put an absolute stop to this would be a Constitutional Amendment denying benefits, illegals crossing the border just to give birth, (Like that would ever pass) and a strong crackdown on businesses who hire illegals.

Destroying the current system and corruption in Mexico (And other countries) and initiating some kind of self government in which people can progress would also stop the illegals (Sorry NAFTA and other alphabet treaties will not work).

As long as America is prosperous and other countries remain a stagnant class system we will always have illegals.

Illegals

I have been listening to the 'talking head' pundits on the MSM networks today. The topic of the "migrants" came up. These people are not migrants. They are illegal invaders to the US.

The 'heads' stated that they do not put much of a burden on our country.

Poppycock! It costs a minimum of $5000 a year to teach their kids. They clog our hospitals with minor ailments by going to emergency rooms instead of doctors they cannot or will not afford.

I had a near fatal malady a couple years ago and it took me over 4 hours to be seen due to the crush of Hispanics. I can't say for sure they were illegals but none were speaking English to the hospital staff. If it looks like a duck... Well you get the point.

We are told they are doing jobs legal citizens won't do. Well, that is partly true and partly due to the low wages employers are able to get away with paying. We are also told that the economy couldn't take the hit.

I agree there would be ramifications but the reduced costs to the government would certainly offset part of that hit. It is estimated that one-third of the prison/jail population is comprised of illegals. No small costs there.

I absolutely refuse to believe the economic consequences of paying a fair wage to legal workers would cause burgers to cost $6.00! Those are the rantings of the looney left who are desperate and exaggerating any idea for political purposes.

It doesn't wash. Besides, the taxes paid by legal workers
would have a positive effect on the economy.

The 'heads' also said the proposed legislation didn't amount to amnesty.

More Poppycock! First the reality of the situation. Many of those in this country illegally have warrants and will avoid the registration. Many more are terrified of authority and will not join in.

There has been NO discussion about the penalty for failing to register. I doubt our leaders even thought about that. And if they did, it won't be enforced.

We are told there are 11M illegals. Is that workers or total including kids and non-working people? If it is total, then that represents about 6-7M working illegals. That amounts to about 5% of the workforce. What percentage of our resources does this group represent? Just the cost to our citizens from uninsured illegal drivers is in the hundreds of millions.

If the 11M is workers, then the total illegal population must be over 17M. That is untenable.

So, what can be done? How about this -

1) Give every illegal one year from some near date to register and receive a card (uncopyable, and it CAN be done). They would be allowed to remain in the country for NO MORE than one year and must keep their address and employment info current.

2) Perform a vigorous background check on each individual.

3) Then give them a year to return to their home country even if for only 5 minutes.

4) They would then be allowed to re-enter if and only if they passed the background check. They could appeal the ruling.

Those not entering into the program would be returned to their home country and not allowed to return.

I realize this would be expensive to implement but the long term benefits would far outweigh the costs.

Oh, a universal clearing of voter rolls is needed and MUST be implemented.

Now, I am sure there are bleeding hearts that will yell that this is all against the Constitution and parts may be. BUT any concept can be written to conform without losing much, if any meaning. The Constitution 'bleeds' far more from illegal voters altering the true outcome of our
elections.

Comments welcome but don't just say this is stupid. I want detailed criticism.

I think the rally and march ideas will be the hardest plan to execute. ... There is also the possibility of violence being instigated by the other side.

Don't be ridiculous.

I favor a petition campaign.

Petitions are a PITA.

Many on FR would be willing to send in a postcard.

Oooh, that'll get them to take notice!

What Can We Do About the Invasion of Our Country by Illegal Aliens?

Let the word go out loud and clear, the immigrant invasion is a declaration of war; the illegals will go to war against the US, to overthrow the US government, in tandem with a foreign government, to allow a foreign government to occupy the several states.

This is an accurate summary of MECHA's mission statement. All of it demonstrates the mindset of invasion rather than immigration-----and The Plan by illegals to overthrow the US government.

Here's what we already know:

Reconquista Armando Navarro 'Ethnic Studies' Professor at the University of California, Riverside Anti-American, Fifth-Column Menace. "Ladies and Gentlemen, what this means (the immigration bill) is a transfer of power, it means control, and it is the young people, the people who are now moving to develop an agenda for the twenty first century they are going to be in a position to really make the promise of what the Chicano movement was all about in terms of self-determination, in terms of empowerment, even in the terms of an Aztlan...."
