Pianka is yet another Malthusian idiot. Plus a card-carrying member of the Cult of Death. Why are maniacs like this even allowed within 500 feet of a school, let alone teaching at a college? People like him are dangerous; God forbid he should actually decide to take matters into his own hands. Nut-jobs like him remind me of the protagonist in the Philip K. Dick short story
"Null-O".
Goof-balls like this should be locked up in a secure psychiatric facility and closely watched.

Marxism is in full retreat in the real world, with North Korea, Cuba, Zimbabwe, and other hell-holes in jeopardy.
One of the great ironies of history is that Marxism and liberalism have gained control of the US university system.

Wow, another leftist monster who openly advocates the killing of hundreds of millions of people. No great shock there.
Funny thing is, a**hats like him never seem to volunteer for the front of the line at the slaughterhouse. I wonder why that is.

Get a load of this fiend: Do these idiots consider themselves to engrossed in 'critical' thought to wash their hair and shave. You see 'em everywhere with their beards and unkempt appearance.
Like that show 'Numbers'. Can't that 'genius' comb his freakin'hair?

LOL! The problem isn't we'll have too many people in our future; we'll have too few of them. Then again, the Left has a misanthropic bent in that they abort and euthanize themselves out of existence. Its a wonder they're around when they hate just being alive as much as they do.

Best comment of the thread: Socialist Europe is currently going extinct, as are the native population of many US Blue States.

And this is why leftists can't be put in power. Given the power, a nut like this could easily become the next Pol Pot willing to do what it takes to make his ideal a reality.

AUSTIN A University of Texas professor says the Earth would be better off with 90 percent of the human population dead. Then let this idiot be the first to kill himself off.
Oh yeah, he thinks 90% needs to die, but NOT himself.

"A global pahdemic wiping out a fourth of himanity."
This is of course why bird flu has been such a major topic. I think the figure for Spanish Flu was 50,000,000 in 1918-19. A similar epidemic, based on increased population would be what? 200,000,000? There are already 45,000,000 infected with the AIDS virus. And it is just beginning in China and India. Most of them will die prematurely.
There is drought across northern Africa again as we are in a sun spot minimum. There will no doublt be much death by starvation, and now that we want our corn for ethanol, we will be more reluctant to send it to Africa. I hate to think what things will be like 11 or so years from now when the next drought cycle hits. With drought in this country we have seen great quantities of wildfires in the south. There is very little snow falling in the western mountains, and this can have a devastating effect on water supplies to our western cities. What if this drought pattern persists for years, as it has in the past.? In the mid Atlantic states, we had last September with almost no rain, and now a March with record dry conditions. Personally, I dread what may happen this summer.
If mankind does not reduce the population by voluntary means, it will be reduced by far more unpleasant ones. There is a reason why Mormons are urged/required to store a year's supply of food at home. Personally, I keep 3 months, plus drinking water, so I can stay at home in a disease emergency.

He recommended airborne Ebola as an ideal killing virus, Mims said. He showed slides of the Four Horsemen of the apocalypse and human skulls. He joked about requiring universal sterilization. It reminded me of a futuristic science fiction movie with a crazed scientist planning the death of humanity. But as confident as Mims is in his assessment, he faces one unarguable fact: Most of Piankas former students are bursting with praise. Their in-class evaluations celebrate his ideas with words like the most incredible class I ever had and Pianka is a GOD!
Aum Shinrikyo, American Style.
I'd avoid this guy...like the plague!
