You should find a picture of Al Gore from his college days.

Pianka said, Good terrorists would be taking [Ebola Roaston and Ebola Zaire] so that they had microbes they could let loose on the Earth that would kill 90 percent of people.
This guy is a psycho.

"There is very little snow falling in the western mountains, and this can have a devastating effect on water supplies to our western cities." Really?? Where would that be?? Here in Washington, the snowpack is the highest its been in years.

He is a psycho...he also doesn't take into account the spread of aids, negative population growth in most industrialized nations or a potential ice age. All of these can limit the population without his precious Ebola. Also, he should know as a biologist that when diseases become more prolific, they tend to become less deadly.

I think such a project requires some testing... He should go first...

Let the Professor go and die first.

"Professor Pianka advocates the intentional use of airborne Ebola virus to reduce the human population by 90%"
Except for himself and the environmental elites who are deserving of life? Oh, and whatever serfs he needs for a comfortable life.

He's a short-sighted academic twit. Human needs and ingenuity will prompt terraforming and settlement of moons and other planets to initiate our colonization of the universe.

As a pre-trib (thus believing that I and other believers will be spared the described judgments) I am struck by the ironic possibility that many of them just might be self-inflicted, whether deliberately (the described air-dropped ebola) or through negligence (mutated STD? Super-AIDS? all conjecture) rather than God acting through nature (bird flu or something else we haven't thought of).

Professor Pianka must have spent some time on I-285 in Atlanta. A few weeks of that and you'd be wishing that about 90% of 'em were gone, too.
To: FormerACLUmember
I think I saw his clone entering a homeless shelter in Akron last weekend.

If 90% of the population is wiped out, who is going to attend his Marxist indoctrinations?

Not at all... 3 months is a minimum. My point is that some folks, prefer to proclaim a death knell by phony half-truths and specious humanitarian concern. Being pragmatic & practical, is a whole 'nother matter, my FRiend.

LMAO at the title. Death? Imminent?? Who has been talking to to know this? That must have taken YEARS of study to come up with that. Sheesh - what a maroon!

Most of Piankas former students are bursting with praise. Their in-class evaluations celebrate his ideas with words like the most incredible class I ever had and Pianka is a GOD! More and more scarier things are coming out of UT every day. There will be a student or professor to pull something like this.

I'm not for one moment agreeing with this professor, however with modern means of travel (where I can basically be in another continent within a day) and the way humanity is packed together (especially in parts of Asia, and the West) it would just take one good disease to really ravage the world. And the US would be the worse hit simply because we do get our foodstuff from grocery stores. Most Americans can't wrap their minds around the fact that milk doesn't somehow magically grow on the dairy shelf. Americans rely on fast food and have no concept of stocking up for emergencies or being self reliant. Look at how quickly NO residents ran out of food.
