Gov. Fast Eddie Rendell, like the good Democrat that he is, vetoed a bill that would have toughened voter-identification laws. He said it would make it harder for people to vote.
Well, it would make it harder for them to vote more than once.
Under the bill, each voter would have had to show election workers a form of identification such as a driver's license; a U.S. passport; a student, employee or government ID; a county voter-registration card; a firearm permit; a current utility bill; or a current bank statement, paycheck or government check.
Eddie says that's asking too much

Well, how else is he supposed to beat Lynn Swann?Under the bill, each voter would have had to show election workers a form of identification such as a driver's license; a U.S. passport; a student, employee or government ID; a county voter-registration card; a firearm permit; a current utility bill; or a current bank statement, paycheck or government check.

I have worked with our local voter registration list and there are more people elligible to vote in our township in the Poconos than there are people living here. The folks with second homes here make no bones about voting twice. This disgusts me. This is a kind of arrogance and disrespect of our form of government and fellow man that is encouraged by Rendell.
The only reason I can think of for a person opposing is that he's dishonest and needs vote fraud to maintain power.
That is the only reason I can think of, too. Now why does no one say that loud enough to shame the Democrats into not doing it? Even if they can't be shamed, which is probable, maybe enough people will see the light to oppose it and them.
Unfortunately, I never see anyone shouting that sinmple fact. Instead I see blank stares and head nodding.
* * * I like that one.
