Please wear the pin, Ms. McKinney

Controversial Georgia Rep. Cynthia McKinney might be charged with a crime after a physical altercation with a Capitol Police officer.
But somebody needs to file multiple counts against McKinney of assault on common sense.
The Georgia Democrat long has been one of the House's more inflammatory members.
She has insinuated that the Bush administration knew about the 9/11 attacks before they were to happen, but no warning was issued nor action taken so that the Bush-backers in big business could profit from the war that ensued.
McKinney has been quoted as saying that fellow Democrat and former presidential hopeful Al Gore's “Negro tolerance level has never been too high. I've never known him to have more than one black person around him at any given time.” Š The Gore camp pointed out that his campaign manager was black.
And McKinney lost the 2002 Democratic primary in a controversial race that included her father's lament that his daughter might lose because “Jews have bought everybody.”
There's no doubt McKinney is a firebrand. Voters on the extreme left admire her moxie, her willingness to challenge Republicans and her utter lack of fear to say whatever she thinks, whatever the subject. Opponents on the right have labeled her the “Rep. for the loony left.”
We just ask that Ms. McKinney would make one compromise in Washington - wear her identification pin.
You see, McKinney wasn't recognized by the unnamed Capitol Police officer in part because she routinely neglects (refuses?) to wear a lapel pin that identifies her as a member of Congress. Those wearing that tag are allowed to skirt the metal detector manned by Capitol Police - there for the protection of folks like McKinney, we might add. When McKinney decided to exercise her right to bypass security without fulfilling what we believe is her obligation to wear appropriate identification, she was confronted by a cop who didn't recognize her, and the confrontation ended badly.
Amazingly, this is the fourth time during McKinney's tenure in Congress that she's gone unrecognized by authorities with negative results; the first was in 1993. One might think that the first couple of confrontations would convince McKinney that it's easier to wear the pin than to fool with the confusion and confrontation that obviously can and does happen when you don't.
There are 435 members of the House of Representatives. It's unrealistic to expect every Capitol cop to recognize every one of them on sight; hence the lapel pins.
We ask that Ms. McKinney humor the nation by wearing hers.
New idea:
Send printed pages of button designs or buttons to
"THE CINDY MC KINNEY LIBRARY OF CONGRESS BUTTON COLLECTION"
Of course they don't have one. But if they started receiving even 20 or more buttons from that many people around the country, they'd be obligated--historically--to start one.
And, some of them would be hilarious enough that the staff would tell their friends who'd tell their friends . . .
and pretty soon, the destructive commie wench would be a laughing stock more than she is.
Even in D.C.!
We could do this.
And if we succeeded in getting 100 such buttons to the Library of Congress, Rush could make a deal of it--all the more to her cheeky chagrin!

I just feel bad for this cop and what he will be put through, all to try to protect her sorry a$$.
McKinney is an embarrassment to her race and gender.
When I signed her guestbook I asked Who's going to protect you now...and signed it the Capitol Hill Officers who gave their lives defending her...
This woman is sickening.

I remember the Democratic whip under Clinton, forget his sorry name, was reported to have thrown his coat into the face of a stewardess who had not greeted him properly.
And then theres the one suspected of murdering his aid.
And poor old Vince Foster, if he had worked for Niomi Campbell he might still be alive....bloodied, but alive.

At least McKinney is only a congress person, Hillary is running for president. Is there enough loonies to elect this queenie to represent our country?
I haven't seen a poll yet, unless you count at DU thread to be a poll, that shows Hilldabeast has a chance in hell.
But then again, I never thought McKinney would get back into office.
Patrick Kennedy was caught on video March 26, 2000 at LAX apparently shoving airport security guard Della Patton into a metal detector, making the structure shake, in the course of fulfilling the responsibilities of her job to the consternation of another liberal politician who demanded special privileges.
