When in the 2000 election she was defeated in the Democrat primary by another black woman, Cynthia's father Billy--a Georgia state politician who has race cards up every sleeve--was asked why she lost. As it was hard to claim racism when the winner was the same race as Cynthia, he blamed her defeat on the Jews.
