Very damn cool of Hatch to remind John Dean that he wrote earlier the president does not have to go to congress to implement his presidential powers.
John Dean is sputtering something about prima facia (sp) evidence Bush broke the law. Hatch says "you got no evidence of that", and repeats it to shut Dean up. Delicious!!!!

Says I've overridden ratings, and press info. Playboy and other channels. I am not going to press info.

Is anyone else getting pornagraphic channels on CSPAN-1? No, I'm not kidding.
Looking at Leahy on CSPAN might be considered pornographic, but I'm getting the hearing on my cable CSPAN.
It may be that your local cable flipped the wrong switch. That can happen.

Turner is very good. A lot of damage was done by Congress during Vietnam!!!!
Hatch: The Feingold resolution's conclusion that the president should be punished by censure because he broke the law. The FISA act trumps the president's authority, according to resolution. If this is arguable, then the censure fails.

and the man named Mr. Turner just bitchslapped all those who would criticize the actions Bush took on wiretaps.
I love the sound of bitchslaps in the morning!

Schmidt: Presidents know their authority can't be constrained to get foreign intelligence. We're talking about a foreign power that has attacked in this country.
It's the strongest possible case and it's long standing that the president has authority.
Even if that's wrong, it still is an argument that serious legal scholars can make and to say the president should be censured because of the legal advice he got is wrong.
