How to intimidate Republican senators
Washington Times ^ | March 31, 2006 | Wes Pruden

Intimidation is the name of the game, and this week we've seen some world-class players at work. A few disc jockeys and an army of high-school kids out for a day of hooky made quick work of several Republican senators. March madness, indeed. If the Republican majorities in both the House and Senate buckle and enact still another amnesty for the millions of illegal aliens among us, as anyone consulting history should expect them to do, credit must go where credit belongs.......

Well .. I guess I was wrong .. you are that stupid!

The only thing the other repubs would do in that case was cower even more.

Everytime the libertarians smell blood in the water, the only remedy they can think of is DON'T VOTE.

Well .. I have NEVER - NOT VOTED - and I never intend to give up my right to voice my opinion.

You think this is HELL! You've got to be kidding me?

Hell is when Hillary and Bubba get back in the White House - THAT WILL BE ANOTHER HELL FOR AMERICA.

Everybody's so selfish and refuses to see the big picture.

All people want is revenge because some congress person didn't do what THEY wanted them to do.

Boy .. we need to grow up and realize what's really at stake here - and it's not somebody's petty complaint about their congress person's actions.

Latinos despise the American blacks and see them as lazy, and blacks resent the takeover by Latinos and see them as foreignors. Their leaders may talk of unity (color people vs the evil white guy) but on the street their people are fighing over political power and entitlement services. I predict the first major riot will be fighting between Latinos and American Blacks.

Wouldn't be the first time. Right after Gettysburg, Lincoln had to rush Yankee troops from PA to NYC to put down large scale rioting between free blacks and Irish immigrants. Blacks migrating to the North were displacing the Irish workers by accepting lower wages. What put the Irish over the edge was Lincoln's demand that they be drafted to go south and fight to free the slaves. (The Irish objected to the notion of dying to enable even more new arrivals to take their jobs; as the wronged party who had been in America longer, the blacks felt any work they could find was their due).

Yes, I can see why you thought President Bush said it. The only people the Feds even think of deporting are the OTMs.

You're charging me with the responsibility of getting all the corrupt people out of the party ..?? How thoughtful of you.

SORRY .. the law does not allow me to vote for all those people - why don't you take care of your representatives and I'll take care of mine and stop pointing fingers at people who have no control over what your reps do or say.

There are good people in congress - we need to focus on them and support them and tell them to stand up to those who want to cower to the dems all the time. There actually are more good ones than there are bad ones.

But .. what most people do is send nasty letters and make nasty phone calls to those who are acting up - and they forget about the good people - who never hear from us.

I call my congress person all the time and tell him thank you for voting the correct way on legislation - but then I also call him when I'm not happy about something he may have said or done. How many of you do that ..??

Not many I presume .. because you'd rather come to this forum and yell and point fingers at me rather than DO YOUR DUTY AS A CITIZEN instead of blaming me for their actions and expecting me to be able to do something about it.

"conservatives should fight by participating in the primaries and make the imcumbent sweat."

So .. get out there and support the candidate you think would do a better job. I agree with making them sweat a little.

Has anybody noticed that Byrd has shut up since he has somebody running against him ..?? Your idea has merit and maybe it could work for a lot of the others on both sides of the isle.

The republican party needs to support them. Instead they withold support of true loyal Americans and give it to the corrupt. What is to be done?

You have made many factual errors in your comments.

"what is to be done"

If I had the answer to that, I'd charge admission!

But .. how about joining the RNC and paying your dues - WHICH GIVES YOU A VOICE. How about showing up for their meetings and voicing your opinion about how they don't support the best candidates ..??

Hmmmm?? What a unique idea - glad I thought of it.

"How to intimidate Republican senators"

I have no interest to intimidate a republican senator. Being a republican by definitation has a specific meaning and they should know what this is.

If he votes against this, he will simply lose my vote in November.

Then, I don't have to worry about intimidating a republican senator.

+++++++

All they HAVE to do is uphold their oaths. Beyond that, I hope they are men of sterling personal integrity, but I know that's unrealistic for some.

An utterly unsubstantiated comment.

I agree with that. What, I have march in the streets or spend my whole life screaming at the guy? No, there's more productive ways to get his attention that are more time-effective. If I have to put my life on hold to defend America, I *will* do it, but that's after the ballot box fails.

"utterly unsubstantiated"

Are you joking ..?? If you don't show up for meetings and just sit here on the computer and complain about everything the RNC does .. what good does that do ..??

You have to get off your blessed assurance - attend their meetings - and get in their face and press flesh and make your opinions known - instead of whining to me that I make "false statements".

Hey there are two sides here. The Republicans have not been serving us well. Perhaps they need a little jolt to understand the whole big picture which you alude to. To many of them the big picture is their own re-election. How about if we insist on ideas and some courage, not to back away from conservative principle. Sounds like a good start to me. At this point, it is hard to tell many of them from the Democrats anyway.
