FBI Director Robert Mueller said this week that his agency busted a smuggling ring organized by the terrorist group Hezbollah that had operatives cross the Mexican border to carry out possible terrorist attacks inside the U.S.
"This was an occasion in which Hezbollah operatives were assisting others with some association with Hezbollah in coming to the United States, Mueller told a House Appropriations subcommittee during a Tuesday hearing on the FBI's budget.
In a stunning revelation, Mueller admitted that Hezbollah had succeeded in smuggling some of its operatives across the border, telling the House committee:
"That was an organization that we dismantled and identified those persons who had been smuggled in. And they have been addressed as well.
Hezbollah was responsible for the single most deadly terrorist attack against the U.S. before 9/11 - the Oct. 1983 bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut, which killed 243 U.S. troops.
In November, an al-Qaida operative who was on the FBI's terrorist watch list was captured near the Mexican border, housed in a Texas jail and turned over to federal agents, according to Rep. John Culberson, R-Texas.
"A confirmed al-Qaida terrorist, an Iraqi national, was held in the Brewster County jail," Rep. Culberson told ABC Radio host Sean Hannity. "He was captured in Mexico. This was within the last six weeks. He was turned over to the FBI."
"This is why the "War or Terror" is meaningless. We're more than happy to send our troops half way around the world, and then leave our back door open for terrorists to walk through. We are forced into airport searches and lost liberties, but the border is WIDE open. What a country."
If you want to weaken a country spread it's military all over the world.
If Mueller knew this that means Bush knew this. What the heck is going on. Why are Bush and our Congress critters ignoring this???
oops...looks like a few outlets didn't get the press embargo memo on this event...
Do you honestly think that will do the trick, because sadly, I don't.
Thanks for the ping.

No I forgot all about that.
Ping to Velveeta's link.

Nowhere in there was mentioned anything about Mexicans other than the border.
Explain please how thousands, if not hundreds of thousands can cross the border, and not ONE of them can be a Muslim Terrorist.
Explain that. I'm really curious to hear your defense of this flagrant lack of Security.
Explain it and then defend it.
I think we can count on the Mexican Federalies to stop them before they get to the border. < / sarcasm >

Bush is supposed to be our only hope for fighting terrorism, yet he has no problems letting the UAE run our ports and Hezbollah run our borders. What a sham. If the people of this country allow our leaders to sell us out like this, there's not much hope for our future.

But allow me to give you another analogy. Visualize a dam (a wall in your case), where the illegals are the water. If you dry up the number of those who are collecting against that dam, the dam can function much more effectively. (Any structure will fail if enough pressure is exerted against it.)
And by drying up the number collecting against the dam, you would take care of the attraction that causes them to collect there, Namely the job providers who benefit from their cheap labor.
If it becomes cost prohibitive (by criminal prosecution) for the job providers, the illegals (the water of the analogy) will not be as attracted to push against that dam (or wall).
So, my take is, prosecute the American businesses that are providing the attraction (in jobs) to come here and we go a long way to solving the problem.
I'm glad you have that!
I'll stop searching for it now. LOL

Agreed. Nedd to engage in Demand reduction activities. as well as deportation and barrier erection. Multi-faceted.
Geez, I doubt there are more than a half dozen illegal Canadian immigrants in the U.S. Why spend all the money on a Canadian wall?
