"There was a boy in my school with the name of Michael Hunt."
I used to get calls for him when I was bartending. You'll only yell out that name once, I guarantee.
A co-worker of mine just had baby Oliver, who joins his older brother Nicholas. I'm thinking of asking her if she is working her way through the Dickens novels.
Makes you wonder what Demi and Ashton will name their child..
"Wow 600 posts in one day? FReepers love to talk about black folks, esp. when it's all bad."
Nah., I've been talking about how you know someone is white trash and a killer if their middle name is "Wayne."

"Zebulon."
But that is a good old testament name. And didn't he have a brother named Gad?
More bibically knowledable freepers will know.
good grief!!!!
Could be worse: they could be Zack and Cody, and then they'd have to put up with Disney Channel references.
I can see "Demi", and even how she pronounces it (de-MEE). It's short for Demetria (de-MEE-tree-uh). Now, if she really was Greek it would make perfect sense...
We are equal opportunity offenders, here.
I didn't want you to get the wrong idea.
"she refused to change it because she didn't want to shame her mother."
Awwwww, so I guess her mom was OK, despite that momentary slip up.
"Wow 600 posts in one day? FReepers love to talk about black folks, esp. when it's all bad."
Oh, right...it's all about YOU and it's all bad.
Grow up, then read the thread.
Could be a family name. There are a lot of strange first names that were last names first.
Here's one that would be cool: A girl with the last name Howlin marries a guy with the last name Wolf.
They could name their baby Howlin Wolf!
Am I missing something, or does that list lack "John Wayne Gacy"?
I haven't heard that 'credit to your race' thing for a long time. We must be around the same age. : )
Affirmative Action is a double-edged sword. Minorities should think twice before they go into any program that marks them, from the outset, as something other than anyone else in the classroom or job site.
The only thing that is very frustating is that there are a lot of people who aren't black who THINK biblical names are black names. Case in point...Azariah :( Also, another non-biblical name that I've heard is Quantrell. It's not black either, not black in its origin. It should not matter WHAT name you have. No one encourages Jews or Italians to change their names to avoid prejudice (not anymore!). I had a father old enough to remember when Italians with a lot of money who looked really white would do just that.
"Nah., I've been talking about how you know someone is white trash and a killer if their middle name is "Wayne." "
You forgot John Wayne Gacy.
Thanks for your opinion! Have an awesome weekend.
Your son is Jody? I like that. My son's name is Jordan. Back in the mid 70's it was a novel new name. Now you hear it all the time for both boys and girls.
No, Gacy (and about 10 more notorious Waynes) was/were in the preamble paragraph that I cut out from the N.O.T.W. link.
