Because Viacom wants a bigger slice of your basic cable bill for their coffers.
Some legislators have started to look at the ability to select only the channels you WANT to pay for in digital systems (no sense in subsidizing what you don't watch or support).

"West Sac mayor is proud of his West Sac." Shouldn't that be his left sac or his right sac or does he always orient himself to the same compass heading? And all of you are right about the pic. He could only look happier if something were parked in his rumble seat.
I am eternally thankful for that international "ONE WAY DO NOT ENTER" symbol tattooed on my butt cheek. Except for a few proctos, it has been 100% effective.
