Lou Dobbs, the nation's most prominent opponent of current immigration policy, began his day yesterday on the "Today" show on NBC, debating a Hispanic defender of illegal immigrants. He moved on to "American Morning" on CNN to denounce a bill passed by the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday as "an amnesty program."
On the CNN morning show Dobbs called the Senate bill "an unconscionable act" and "a sellout." He appeared again on CNN's midday "Live From..." program, saying, "I think illegal immigrants are a burden to the taxpayer, unequivocally."
This followed by just a day a confrontation between Mr. Dobbs and a guest on his own program, Janet Murguia, the president of the Hispanic civil rights group National Council of La Raza, during which he lectured her on immigration policy.

He loves those red state ratings and hates those red state people....
Oh no.....does this mean I'll have to turn on the X-marked channel???
Please don't make me watch CNN - maybe he'll move to another place? I can hope anyway.
Glad to hear one member of the "far" side has some brain matter and reasoning power remaining.
I have noticed that.
Yes...Yes...I agree with Dobbs' position on immigration (not much else but yes...I agree). Maybe the rest of the MSM will follow suit.
Mega Bump
There will always be demagogues with any issue--the presence of security threats and social chaos still remains...
The man puts his country above everything else, including petty partisan distinctions, which is more than I can say for the shortsighted individuals that want to turn the United States into a third world nation.
You'd have to watch Lou Dobbs to truly understand my point. Hint, they are best of friends and allies against the Illegal Immigration invasion. So if you are against Dobbs, it follows you'd feel that way about Hayworth as well.

He sure ain't a conservative.
"He blames the entire illegal immigration issue on Bush. Every single aspect is all Bush's fault."
GWB has had over 6 years to make an impact on illegal border crossings. Each year...the number of illegals crossing our borders has increased.
Hardly a defensible position....
But hey... don't let a few facts stand in the way of the k00laid stand.
I have been watching Lou every night at 6 now and recording him. He has the most comprehensive and fair coverage of the illegal immigration issue that most other networks are afraid to cover. I am a Fox News fan but Lou has even got them beat on this issue.

Oh, I think that's right on.
That's what I said. He knows the demographic he wants to appeal to, knows they'll buy his books and watch his show, and that they love red meat.
Reminds of those pro rasslers who are good guys, or bad guys, depending on which town they're in.
I don't agree with him all the time by any means, but he and I are to the right of the President on this one. And IN the right.
"I'm shocked that Lou Dobbs would take such a position. He's a fervent liberal and Bush-Hater. I guess even a crazy liberal can have lapses of sanity every now and then."
i like lou. he isn't a bush hater, he is an anti-corporatist in that he thinks the middle class is always getting screwed by this administration in favor of corporations. hard to disagree with that trend in my view.
So preserving the value of American citizenship isn't a conservative principle?
Since when?

Dobbs is against companies' wholesale exporting of American jobs. You (and Bush) seem to be cool with it.
Lou Dobbs is the best. His passion for certain issues (illegal immigration, exporting jobs) is obvious. I stopped watching Fox at 6PM
Lou covers the issues I'm concerned about
