I agree. That is an odd response. Especially when you consider the various tapes released during her days as a hostage in which she was described as "sobbing" and pleading for the release of women prisoners.

"Carroll’s face is visible in the footage, encircled by a conservative Islamic veil that covers her hair, neck and shoulders. She is sobbing as she speaks to the camera, sitting in front of a yellow and black tapestry."

So why was she sobbing? Mental abuse?

I was thinking of that exact footage when I wrote the above post.

I'm watching the reply of her glowing report of her captivity. Some news station ought to play these two tapes one after the other.

I saw part of this interview and it came over as she was defending her captors. Either this is a hoax or she was completly brainwashed. Whether the brainwashing occured before, during, or after her "captivity" is a question.
