I saw part of this interview and it came over as she was defending her captors. Either this is a hoax or she was completly brainwashed. Whether the brainwashing occured before, during, or after her "captivity" is a question.
Without knowing the circumstances surrounding her capture, which included the death of her translator and her treatment during confinement, I hesitate to form a judgment pending more details. Her immediate statement about her captors may stem from being "brainwashed," intimidated, etc. and not represent her real views. She has just been released and she is still in Iraq. I can understand why she may still be fearful and afraid to express her true feelings about her captors. She may be traumatized.
