Prayer Request for FReeper cgk
3/29/06

Posted on 03/29/2006 5:16:30 PM PST by wagglebee

I just learned from FReeper cgk who has multiple sclerosis that many of her symptoms are returning. Her doctor has determined that she can be treated at home and does not need to be hospitalized at this time. She is grateful for this because it will allow her to stay home with her little girl.

Please post your prayers to cgk.

Thank You and God Bless you all.

It is really great to hear from you, cgk, and that the situation may be improving. It must be exponentially more difficult with a young one to care for. We will hold you in our hearts and keep you in our prayers, and no, steroids do not usually bring on tears :)

My hope is that you return to health. My prayer is that if you do not--or do not soon--that you understand that God does not guarantee us health, wealth, and well-being. May his peace be with you, for while God doesn't give us a promise of temporal things, he has given us hope, comfort, and a message of undying love, sealed and made perfect in his son, Jesus Christ.

I pray that however this will turn out, that you grow in faith and look to the One whose love cannot be broken by life, pain, struggle, distance, and even death.

Many thanks to you, wagglebee, for alerting us to Gavin and cgk's respective situations. I consider it an opportunity to let the glory of God be known and shown, while strengthening and encouraging the body of Christ. A "two-fer." ;)

cgk, MS cannot mar your beauty. Your little girl sees the same beauty that you have shown to us, from your warm heart, and beautiful spirit, in this post.

Thank you for that uplifting and inspiring update. Continuing to pray that God will keep you and yours in His loving providential care and provide you with just the blessings needed.

Jesus said to him, "Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will not believe."

Even those who have seen don't necessarily believe. It is as true now as it was in the days of the Lord's earthly ministry. However, I consider this thread a wonder, if even a minor one in its effect on temporal reality. For, "let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God" (1 John 4:7, KJV).

I especially like the next few verses.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

(1 John 4:8-12, KJV)

I especially like the next few verses...

Yes, they move the emphasis back to the source. Our love towards one another is to be a faint reflection of that utterly mind-blowing love that was in Jesus Christ.
