Dean: Comprehensive and Compassionate Immigration Reform Needed
March 29, 2006
Next week, Republican Senate Leader Bill Frist is likely to introduce a harmful immigration bill on to the Senate floor that will criminalize good Samaritans, including church members and clergy, and does not provide a larger, comprehensive framework for reform or a path to citizenship. Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean issued the following statement on President Bush and the Republican Congress's failure to lead on the issue of immigration:
"President Bush and his Republican Congress's failure to offer comprehensive solutions on immigration reform and their attempt to use the issue to divide Americans is contrary to our values as a people and does a disservice to all who live and work in this great nation. The hostile anti-immigrant bill passed by the Republican House and now being considered by the Republican Senate is not the answer. America needs comprehensive immigration reform that protects our borders, keeps our communities safe, and brings America together.
"Criminalizing families and the work of clergy is not the way forward. A comprehensive and compassionate approach must protect all U.S. workers and their wages, prevent exploitation of immigrant workers, and offer immigrants who have earned it the opportunities and responsibilities of U.S. citizenship. The American people want change, not more of the same scape-goating and ineffective, piecemeal immigration reform Republicans are proposing."

Opportunistic leeches.
In other words, open borders....
I don't know a better definition of chutzpah than Howard Dean accusing someone of "divisiveness".
Yep. Also, another special class that is untouchable.

Yawn.
Yes....Dr Dean is onto something here. The American people don't want our laws enforced and we don't want concrete solutions to the burgeoning problem of illegal immigration. We want to hear vague generalizations, ad hominem attacks on Republicans and an open ended promise of solutions so brilliant that the details needn't be spelled out.
Here is what the people you been propagandizing for all day think about your position. Nice job spending all your time helping your political foes children.
There is a clear difference between the position of Dean and that of conservatives. Dean wants a pathway to citizenship for illegals that is what conservatives oppose. If illegals want to become citizens they must first migrate legally i.e. by returning to their country of origin and then apply legally to immigrate and then follow the normal application process for obtaining citizenship. There is no moving to the head of the line in the conservative plan.
Do you think that if we shot Howie into space his head would explode? I mean, who know what it's filled with.
I'd like to send Dean somewhere, but it is not up. And it is really hot, so they tell me.
Nonsense!
If they couldn't be exploited, they wouldn't be wanted.
Stop hiring them, and they'll go away.
Or to be more exact,
stop the hiring of them,
and they'll go away.
In case you weren't aware, and this is painful to have to point out to you but Bush and Dean's position are practically one in the same. So now who's the one helping the democrats?
What? You just spent all day pushing Hate Republican propaganda. That is the same thing as being FOR the DNC. Dean should be your hero.
Mexico?
Take this hot potato issue back to border security, place it squarely on the backs of both Parties where the Dems would have to argue compassion over National security. Right now the Republicans are simply kicking themselves and the Dems are sitting back eating popcorn.
LOL, think DEEP down.
