You've got to read this to believe it. We have a serious problem on our hands:

I believe Mexico was still smarting from our occupation of Vera Cruz after they started their hanky panky with the Germans. My great uncle was in on that.
It is going to be my flagpole if Congress passes any type of amnesty. In my opinion, our country will no longer exist and I will be in distress. Seems our politicians respond best to the Mexican flag flying in the USA. Any concept that grants illegals any rights makes me ashamed.
LOL, you got that right! They seem to forget that aztecs were savages, demanding women and children from the surrounding tribes to sacrifice to their false gods. In fact, it was the surrounding tribes that allied with Cortez that enabled him to defeat the savage aztecs.
So what if it wasn't "their students"? Why would the admins stand around with their thumbs up their butts while students - any students- took down the American flag on their property?
Anybody interested in making a cartoon of the American eagle crushing the necks of that fecking snake-and-buzzard?
With the words "Reconquista THIS!"
That they were. OK, well, the "anaesthetic" thing needed some work...
Every employer of illegal aliens is complicit in this mob uprising. We should demand that they fire all illegal aliens in their employ and I don't care if my tomatoes triple in price.
All I have to say is what I've said before....lock and load. If these idiots try it, then be well armed and be prepared to send them to the afterlife.
All I can hope for is that after it is over, there will a damn site fewer of them than what started.
And carry that logic a bit farther - all Indians and native Americans should re-cross the land bridge between Alaska and Siberia and go back to their homeland of Asia, back to where THEY originally came from!
That's rich. They were killing each other for religious and other reasons long before we got here. The part about the smallpox is known to be fiction. Some Ward-Churchill like self-hater made it up; the natives that the Europeans found passed on several STDs; their "leadership" and "inteligensia" were the chief organizers of the mass murders they carried out against enemies and their own tribes; their "libraries" were piles of pictures painted on animal skins and folded into accordian-shapes. Their education system? Only the very top of the social pyramid had anything like and education, and even that was not what we would consider education. Their lives were nasty, brutish and short, and they were living with a stone age material culture based on extremely frightening myths, which served to keep the natives calm when their "leaders" started cutting out their living hearts as sacrifice to their gods, then kicked their bodies down the side of the "temple" where the killing took place. What was it, again, they wish to preserve?
Well, alright, then:

Do you seriously believe that they don't have guns too?
500,000 marchers = 30 enemy divisions. If only 10% are real fighters, that's 3 enemy divisions, just in Los Angeles.
Fallujah was in the hands of only a few hundred enemy fighters, and think about what it took to clear that city out.
I might add a couple other things, but that's a good start. And I also realize that none of those things will ever occur. America is toast.

Ironically, both schools are on the Great Schools list.
I was at a conference a few years ago where an Hispanic historian, and Christian pastor, spoke about the moral/spiritual history of Latin America. He was from Columbia, I believe, and spoke with a definite Spanish accent. Although I am a history buff, having had college courses on Latin America's history, I had never heard this perspective before.
The Conquistadores, who literally conquered South America, Central America, and most of the US Southwest in about 75 years after Columbus, (an amazing military feat...with a LOT of brutality involved--as one said above, making our settlement of the West look like a cakewalk) were generally younger sons of nobility, who had no inheritance in Spain, and so went abroud to seek fame and fortune.
The highly centralized and controling government of Spain (remember Ferdinand and Isabella?) would not permit them to take their refined delicate Christian Spanish wives to the barbarian New World, hence most of the most noteable Conquistadors when in America took Indian mistresses. There were hundreds or even thousands of officers brought from spain, and many more soldiers--and most of these guys had mistresses, once their conquest was done, and they stayed. As bloody as their battles were--I'm sure there were an excess of Indian women too. It was not permitted at the time for Spanish men to formally marry Indian women...even when the Indians became Christians. Of course too, those who had a wife back in Spain couldn't marry another in any event.
It wasn't until nearly 1600 when women were allowed to immigrate from Spain and Portugal to the Americas. Spain was still quite medieval in attitude at this time...and having a mistress was NOT considered a form of adultery, and was a common practice. (Such is even common practice today in the romance-language countries--(Spain, Portugal, France, Italy), as most know). It wasn't uncommon for Conquistador commanders to have 5 or more mistresses--illustrating their power, wealth and prestige.
The speaker said that by the 1590s its estimated that there were 100,000 or more bastard (to use the word correctly) Spanish-Indian children in Latin & Central America. This caused serious inferiorty-issues within the culture--as some saw themselves as from "pure" ancestry, while most knew from their mixed heritage they descended from illigitimate relationships.
Add to this the feudal kind of society--a very few rich, controlling huge numbers of peasant-poor, reproduced in the New World colonies, and one can better understand some of the issues still plaguing those countries to this day.
The preponderance of mixed-race people in a way eased racial tensions....since it wasn't long until most everyone was of mixed Spanish/Indian heritage. In a way it didn't though, as even today, the closer your heritage is to Spain or Portugal (and the whiter your skin) the greater your status tends to be in the various Latin countries' cultures.
There is still a lot of distain in Latin countries in the higher classes for "Indians", whom they tend to see as inferiors, and those indians are most of the illegals we see in the USA.
These folks have a history of working like slaves for their Spanish-heritage wealthy land owners--and of being utterly dirt poor. It's no wonder why they are such hard workers in manual labor jobs here in the USA. They also are totally used to living under totally corrupt governments...and when people are used to that, crossing a border illegally seems like not a big deal at all.
It's a lot like the black markets in Eastern Europe. For years--under corrupt tyrannical communism, they were the only way to get things done. Hence with the collapse communism, came the rise of criminal dominated markets and marketeers.
Anyway, racist attitudes, with an unspoken shame of inferiority related to generational illigitimacy (1600 is about 12+ generations ago...) coupled with a very long history corrupt centralized governments (and the Church too) are part of the shaping of Hispanic attitudes today.
Wonder how Alec Baldwin is reacting to this one. :)
