"Or a member of the menopausal bush bot housewife league?"

Oh, you're acquainted with a certain "fan" too, I see. Shrill doesn't even begin to describe her, lol.

Same here. Last Sunday, while I was putting my clothes back on after going through security at Dulles (Gives the term "air strip" a brand new meaning!) I saw ol' Leaky Lehey walk past from the shuttle. He is a real tall pile of traitorous shit.

Just wondering what you are hoping to accomplish on this thread? Are you wanting to get banned so that you can wear some badge decrying the unfairness of consequences?

Oh, that's far too profound. Think micro, not macro. I'm just out to piss off a few bunker boys (which ain't a tough task with the perpetually enraged).

The irony of this bill is that it proposes to "fix" the problem of a dysfunctional immigration system, which is unable to track or account for the 12 million-approximately-illegal aliens already living in this country.

If we can't keep track of those 12 million people, how on earth are we going to track down their 20 million relatives, and God knows who else will slip in the door because of this law?

Could you elaborate on exactly what it is that you believe they are putting into place?

A set of requirements such as pay a fine, obtain a postive health screen, pass a criminal background check, and demonstrate basic citizenship knowledge as justifiable reasons for being converted from an illegal alien into a legal immigrant.

Also a route to citizenship for those who want it, even if (maybe "especially if") they have been in this country illegally for years - "cutting ahead" of those who applied for citizenship under the present legal regime.

Increasing border and interior enforcement, while reducing the hurdles for obtaining the status of legal immigrant.

Increasing the number of visas.

In general, legitimizing the presence of what are presently illegal aliens.

As for the details, obviously in a state of flux as Congress is debating the matter. And there are additional details (e.g., tuition arrangements, cooperation of government authorities other than federal immigration enforcement) absent from the short list of bullet points above.

Not really. I'd prefer a straight debate instead of dealing with yet another of FR's Seagull Posters.

If that happens, Congress will go back to the Communist Deomcrats, Bush will get impeached and we will not only lose Domestically, our sovereignty, we will lose the GWOT.

And that's dire, and it's Blatant GOP Stupidity from the top that is getting us there. We expect it from the Enemy Within, however, it's disheartening most that it's one of our 'own'.

This is the equivalent of political suicide for Bush, taking the GOP down with him - in selling out America to Mexico and other Internationalists. I hope it's worth it for Bush.

I won't take over for you here today. I forgot to take my "Jackass" pills. You are on your own, buddy.

My estimate of the situation is that this thread, and you and your opponents have degenerated into an insult furball. I think you all have lost the subject and are just engaged in insulting each other. It is hard to see who is right, who is wrong and who is just partying.

Those who enter the country illegal are, by definition, criminals. That's not rhetoric; it's plain, objective fact.

"By definition", so is everyone who has ever exceeded the speed limit, or changed lanes without using their signal. That's plain, objective fact too. Doesn't make those who have done so unworthy of being Americans, though.

Brownback, Graham, Dewine, and McLame need to be unseated for their treason.

It's stuff like this that makes the anti-illegal immigration side like like nutburgers.

Could we give the word "treason" a rest, especially in this instance?

* Lower taxes

Compare the Bush tax cuts to the Reagan tax cuts on a percentage basis. Now compare the Bush spending increases with the Clintoon spending increases. Yeah, I thought so.

* Conservatives on the Supreme Court and many other courts across this great nation

Too early to tell; we shall see what happens with the partial birth abortion laws and the SD law. By the way, had the president had his way, Meirs - a self professed liberal judicial activist - would have been the second nominee.

* A rip-roaring economy (but they'z illegals!!)

...and the advent of interest-only mortgages, an out of control national debt and trade deficit. In otherwords, a continuation of the shell game.

* Restoration of decency to the White House

Frankly, I do believe I'd rather have a president misbehaving with an intern in the oval office than have a president who is going to legalize 30 million illegals in the next 10 years.

* Promotion of a pro-life culture

That must be reflected in the largest increase in planned parenthood funding in any president's budget to date.

* Offensive action against Islamofascism

That has turned into nation building and an effort to "re-educate" Muslims about the benefits of living in 20th century secular democracy. How's that going, by the way?

* A stronger, leaner military

A weaker, leaner military. The national guard is carrying a far greater military burden than it ever has in the past.

* Movement "to the right" across social and others issues - unless you're a one-issue bunker boy!

Leaving the one-issue epithet aside, I hear the rhetoric but I fail to see the follow up action.

And look at this nominal fee they're imposing.

First of all, I don't believe for a second that even one of these illegal aliens would pay it.

But even assuming for a moment that they did, it's the equivalent of a quarter or a fifth of the routine charge for smuggling one of them into United States territory.

This is a slap in the face to Americans, courtesy of the U.S. Senate.
