House Majority Leader John A. Boehner refused yesterday to rule out compromising with the Senate to expand the House border security bill to include a guest-worker program or provisions that opponents call "amnesty." "Let's wait and see what the Senate can produce," he told reporters yesterday when asked whether House Republicans would reject the Senate Judiciary Committee's proposal to allow the estimated 12 million illegal aliens now in the U.S. to seek citizenship after paying a fine.

Mass deportations are not going to happen. What can happen is to make life so unpleasant for illegals that they want to go home. Simply enforcing existing laws will put them in the position where there is no work, housing/food assistance, driver's licenses and only life saving medical assistance available to them they'll be more than happy to go back home.
I'm sure the bleeding heart liberals will find fault with that.

I don't see why you keep repeating this stupid myth that America is a nation of immigrants (perhaps you are just ignorant of history, I don't know). That was John F. Kennedy's mantra. He wrote a book by that title in the 1950s. That is how the cliché got popularized. America is a nation created by conquerers and settlers. The "immigrants" only came latter. Where did the Pigrims come from originally, England, or did they spring up from the ground in Plymouth, MA.
JMO, you are going to say they sprang up from the ground.

However, from your insults towards those who do not want an amnesty, it can be assumed that you endorse an amnesty program for those who have broken out laws in their entry into the US. This, by definition, makes you a pro-open borders advocate. Since you apparently don't like us denigrating an amnesty for those who have already broken the laws, then you must approve of those laws being broken. How is my characterization of your position wrong? Uh, because it's wrong!
Not that I think you'll give a cogent reply. You seem more intent on keeping the flame war going than in actually saying anything substantive.
You got one right, Gomer! I give cogent replies to cogent thoughts and points. I ain't seen none of them round here yet. So rather than getting angry or abandoning a thread to a bunch of boys thrown out of Idaho's 422nd volunteer militia, I'd prefer to hang out and ridicule you incessantly.
So is it true that Marines have bigger balls? (You know, November 10th and all that)

Let me get this straight.
You're blaming our already lax-bordering on non-existent-immigration controls for the narco-traffikers, coyotes, and mafia that control Mexican society?

The republican base will walk and Bush will be impeached when they loose the house. I will cheer when that happens.

The "Mexican Mafia" needs to be 'stung' so many times that they are all either in prison or find different enterprises that do not involve conspiring to and indeed violating our laws.
Once the borders/ports are secure, manpower resources can be modestly put into plugging any breaches at that point.

Unemployment, which includes people not actively looking, on the dole and off, is much higher.
I'll post you a link, but it won't matter to you, because you know it all and have your mind made up to sink America.
