This morning, President Bush announced from the Oval Office at the White House, the resignation of long time friend, and 5 year Chief of Staff, Andrew Card, and the appointment of Josh Bolten, director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, to that position. Later, following a Cabinet Meeting, the President made a statement in the Rose Garden, surrounded by Cabinet members, about the progress in the government of Iraq, and the commitment of his administration to work with their counterparts in Iraq in the future.
In news of significance to all conservatives, both Lyn Nofziger (81), Reagan press secretary, and Caspar Weinberger (88), Reagan's Secretary of Defense, died in the past 24 hours. Both men served with distinction and will be missed.

I saw a small article recently when Frankie Laine turned 92 or 93, and there was a concert on the Long Island PBS station a few weeks ago which had him still singing! God bless him.

That would be great. Let me see first if she receives the earlier ones. Her mom's parents lived in Hackensack.

I spent over an hour on a Bush-bashing thread about his immigration speech.
That's an hour I'll never get back ! (smile)
Usually I let Ohio and Miss Marple do the heavy lifting, but I was just in the mood for once.
All the usual suspects jumped on just for an opportunity to vent their bile. They didn't even listen to his speech, which I did, on the net while I was posting.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner--I was on the Idol thread :)
What editing program do you use
Nothing fancy. Microsoft Picture-It Publishing. There are more sophisticated programs out there, but I've been using PIP for so long, I don't want to change :) I also use Canon's Photo Studio 5 for scanning and resizing. (PIP isn't very good at that, IMO.)
