This morning, President Bush announced from the Oval Office at the White House, the resignation of long time friend, and 5 year Chief of Staff, Andrew Card, and the appointment of Josh Bolten, director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, to that position. Later, following a Cabinet Meeting, the President made a statement in the Rose Garden, surrounded by Cabinet members, about the progress in the government of Iraq, and the commitment of his administration to work with their counterparts in Iraq in the future.
In news of significance to all conservatives, both Lyn Nofziger (81), Reagan press secretary, and Caspar Weinberger (88), Reagan's Secretary of Defense, died in the past 24 hours. Both men served with distinction and will be missed.
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!
Thanks for the info!
Thank you, you're a sweetie.
I pray that Andy isn't a lamb to slaughter, cause that just wouldn't be right...
1. You have no authority to tell another member which thread they may post on.
2. I couldn't care less as to whom or what "Ohio" and "ilovew" trust.
3. In the name and spirit of our founding fathers, especially Mr. J and Jemmy Madison, I will never suppress my opinion on matters I hold dear.
Smashing Condi Baby! Yeah! Pose for me! Yeah... that's it Baby! Yeah!
My mom has always been a Frankie Laine fan, so from when I was a very small kid I remember her playing his songs. AND she gave us all the 78s!
President Bush wouldn't do that. Andy has been Chief of Staff longer than anyone else has ever lasted. He's gotta be worn out by now. He's the first one to the White House and usually the last one gone. He probably hasn't had much sleep in the last five and a half years.
Hey, speaking of Cancun...and our wonderful "Vincente the I'm not listening to you W, Fox"...
We were driving up to the on ramp for the freeway in our local town, and were met with three deep rows of hispanic children (high school age), some carrying signs--most just walking along on the sidewalk, protesting against the House bill.
1. While they were waiting for the light to change, a few sat on people's cars that were in the Burger King parking lot next to the sidewalk. ---I was taught that was someone ELSE's property, and NOT to do that.
2. My husband smiled and yelled, "God Bless the United States of America." Their reply...down the line...as we drove by...was F___ YOU!!!
Now, it seems to me, that if you are trying to barge into someone else's country illegally, you might not want to swear at those whose help you'll need to stay there.
I was shocked. I was furious. They were tacky. They were rude.
LOL...I wasn't whining, I was drooling about having a pic of my President.
And you have no reason for being here except to annoy us. Either you leave or the moderator will remove you. It doesn't matter to me which way it happens.
Very dismal story. I'm afraid it's going to get worse, before something has to give.
I do. Stay off this thread and all future editions.
The WOT speech must be the one scheduled for the Freedom House at 1:20 PM . . . Thanks so much for the heads up!
Night all!
I remember the old 78s then the 45s
Was waiting for my 2nd cousin's computer to be back on line to send her the photos of the bldgs in Bergen Co.
I know she will remember them.
I told her about the work you are doing re them. BTW she is 85
How DARE they!
I hope she can recognize where they are, if she knows the area. I'm sure I have better photos of our train station as well as the water company plant, which I could send you if you want to FReepMail me.
Sorry, despite the inaccuracies in your post, not to mention your rudeness, you are not in the position to make demands.
I have not posted anything on this thread that violates FR's rules of conduct, although you most certainly have.
YEA!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, Admin Moderator
When I was in advertising and my client was the Business Improvement District of La Jolla, I was in charge of putting on the tree lighting ceremony during the holidays...I believe it was 1992 or 1993. There were many local politicans, and honored citizens. Frankie Laine was one of the honored guests, and I had my picture taken with him... He was a VERY nice man.
They don't want God to bless America. There is nothing but hatred in the putrid hearts of people who are doing this. And they're using their once-innocent children to perpetuate it, just like al-qaida and the PA do.
