Hey! You guys just have to quit watching Google change its news every few minutes. Two posts almost simultaneously...amazing.
How terrible that those guns leapt from their cabinet, somehow propelled themselves to the party and killed all those people.
Bad guns!
Might as well not blame drug deaths at raves on the rave scene, either. Blame the drugs.
Guns cause violence just like a spoon caused Roseanne to get fat.
It ain't much of an "arsenal" if you can carry all of it in one trip...
Same old horse dung.
This guy must have cut and pasted his article, because I'm sure I've read this same tripe about a thousand times before. What a moron.
The victim was slumped across the threshold of the red, two-story house on East Republican Street where the Clementes have lived for 26 years. He wore a black T-shirt, a pacifier around his neck and what Clemente described as "sci-fi gloves," referring to the light-tipped gloves some ravers wear.
No drugs? Why the pacifier? Can you say: ecstacy?
I knew you could.
The agendits are busy sanitizing this for your protection so they can blame the firearms involved instead of the drug culture. Go figure.
As W.C. FIelds used to say, "Don't let 'em bamboozle you kid!"
I can attest to my AR-15 not having killed anyone in the 6 months that it has been all alone in my closet.
I would just once love to hear, "Gosh, if only someone else at the party had a gun, this might have turned out differently"
Let him come to my door ask ask for me to hand my weapons over.
I'd respond "Molon Labe", but the point would probably be missed and mute anyway.
Mr. Jamieson is a moron. While I do have a certain fondness for my guns, I wouldn't say I "love" them. What I do love is the liberty afforded to all good U S citizens by the 2nd. We live in probably the best civilian-armed nation in the world; while its no use arguing with morons and mental incompetents, I must say that the level of gun violence is quite low considering how many firearms are in the hands of the population. By contrast, the level of gun violence in countries in which only police, military and goons are armed is much higher. Name almost any nation in Africa; hell, name Great Britain!
I hold the NRA and puppies responsible.
Yep. Plain as day - GUNS FAULT.
e-mail sent, FWIW:
"The blood on Capitol Hill should jolt us to our senses about guns in society."
It does, Mr. Jamieson, it really does.
Had they called 911 it would have still been all over before police arrived.
All they could do was run, dive out windows, cower in bathtubs--or die.
You see, apparently, none of the persons in that house had a firearm for defensive purposes. None of them shot the perpetrator, he apparently had to do even that for them. They were helpless to end the rampage.
Why? Because they were not armed. They could not stop the killing.
I fail to understand why, in view of such facts, there is a call for making even more people helpless in the face of those who would count them among their victims, especially when the insane and those of criminal intent do not care what is ensconced in the lawbooks of the State of Wasington, or any other political document or entity, for that matter.
They will find a way to conduct their malicious handiwork regardless of statute, and can only be stopped by the judicious and timely application of force. Lethal force if need be. A firearm enables even those who are of the slightest of build to apply that force, if need be, in the defense of self, guests, family, friends, and ultimately, the community.
You can never eliminate firearms from the face of the Earth. But in moments of grief, twisted people will always call for the removal of them from those who might need them most, those who would be otherwise the next victims.

More people are shot and killed in South Africa than die in car accidents. And gun violence is on the rise since the end of apartheid despite new Draconian gun laws including special licensing and total registration. There are about 2 million citizens who own registered guns in SA.
I wonder where I can get me one of them. Every assault rifle I've looked at is medium-caliber.
