FREE RIDES FOR STUDENT PROTESTERS [Welcome to reconquista]

Of particular interest to L.A. taxpayers are these assurances from the school district:

And this:

The Los Angeles Times reports:

As of midafternoon, more than 22,000 students had walked out of classes in "little bits here and there," according to Ellen Morgan, spokesperson for the Los Angeles Unified School District. A total of 60 schools were involved. Many students waved Mexican flags as they poured out of schools and onto city streets.

"Everything has been calm and there have been no reports of injuries or incidents," said Morgan.

The major walkouts were:

Kennedy High School in the San Fernando Valley, where 1,000 students marched toward San Fernando High School, at about 9:35 a.m.

At about 9:00 a.m., 1,000 students at Los Angeles High School at 4650 West Olympic Boulevard walked to Fairfax and Hollywood high schools, which were both locked down.

School police patrol cars stopped traffic as students walked down the streets, causing traffic jams along La Brea and Melrose avenues.

"If this law passes, what will happen? There would be no more Los Angeles High School. Nearly all of us are immigrants," said Yadira Pech, a 16-year-old junior from Los Angeles High.

"We need to show that we have a voice," Pech said.

Also about 9:30 a.m., 1,000 students from Belmont High School were marching toward City Hall downtown. Fifteen minutes later, LAPD officers estimated that the crowd downtown had grown to 1,500. Protesters waved flags and signs and chanted, "Latinos, stand up!"

"This is unjust. This land used to belong to us and now they're trying to kick us out," said Sandra Molina, 16, a junior from Downtown Magnet High School.

Like I said this morning: Welcome to reconquista.

That is indeed the indisputable truth of history! I have some doubts that even native-born Americans, in any significant numbers, have enough gray matter to wrap around it if they should ever even be exposed to it. But it is true.

Travis, it's looking like the Senate is on their side, along with the President. I hope that there will be at least one Senator who would try to block any guest worker shamnesty, but I'm not holding my breath.

Squantos, see my tagline.

It was never theirs

It was never Spain's, either, unless you buy the authority of the Pope to divide the world. Spain's claim to North America went all the way to the pole, which was what Pope Alexander VI gave them under the Treaty of Tordesillas and later the Treaty of Zaragosa.

Oddly, I don't think the Anglican Protestant British settlers who founded the United States or their forebears in Anglican England gave a rat's butt about what the Spaniard King and his Pope thought they "owned". The claim was laughable even when it was made.

This website also has some interesting tidbits: Cal Republic History . Fascinating that Revere's grandson raised the U.S. flag for the first time in Sonoma.

The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRIRA) created a new, formal process for deportation called expedited removal. This process was established by Congress to remove certain inadmissible aliens from the United States. The law authorized the Commissioner of the Immigration and Naturalization Service to designate certain groups of individuals for placement in expedited removal proceedings. Under expedited removal, individuals can be removed on an order issued by an INS officer. The U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) began implementing the expedited removal provisions of IIRIRA on April 1, 1997.

Just got a call from a pal and in her little town north of the Dallas area there are several students that walked from the local HS to city hall. Carrying the MX flag, chanting, etc.

Have a look in here.

before Mexico 'kicked out the Spanish' (who had Calif. for over 100 yrs), who 'kicked out' the Indians.

Actually, the Mexican illegals are basically Indians, and have very little Spanish blood in them.

The Pope's action was not so much to 'give' Spain N. America, but to help settle a serious issue between Spain and Portugal. Spain's 'sphere of influence' was to be N.Am. while Portugal's was to be S.Am, thereby reducing the chance of war.

I was finally able to get through to Bill Frist's DC office and gave the polite staffer my long version--

Today in Albuquerque the top talk radio show of New Mexico KKOB 770 Jim Villanucci was inundated with calls for its four hours, most on the law-enforcement side of the issue.

I told Frist's office that of course he wants to be president and he'd better get that many, many Republicans will see little reason to donate or volunteer--leaving aside the stay-at-home matter--if their party does not build a barrier on the border--

--that the whole matter of "amnesty" is not the priority; the priority is stopping the massive influx of those who won't learn English, who wave Mexican flags, who send their money to Mexico and are crushing our hospitals, schools and prisons--

That having worked to insure a Republican president, House, and Senate, for the nation to now be given to illegals at the expense of citizens will insure Republican defeat and minority status--

Just one more micro input the Senator from Tennessee must consider in his run-up--

And one more thing, Bill--there's another Bill after the job: Bill Richardson and he's got the Crisco by the truckload: he's on Slim-Fast and Slick-Gas, so don't take your base for granted. . . .

"Where are they gonna go? Who else are they going to vote for?"

Heartening to see Tancredo tell Alan Mute on Hannity & Mute tonight that "before this is over, there'll be lots of politicians out there out-Tancredoing Tancredo". . . .

And, he added, "these protesters are the best thing to happen for our side in some time"--

La Raza racist? Shocked, shocked.

Villanucci during his above-referenced radio program today did in fact read Thomas Sowell, Guests or Gate-Crashers on which you commented earlier today.

I told Frist's staffer that Republicans wanted the border enforced, but all that the party's DC legislators (and president) offered was greenhouse gas.

GOP Uses Weapons of Mass Disinformation Against Rank-and-File.

"Religion of peace" plus "amnesty" equals minority status for the party of Lincoln.

The "campaign finance" destruction of the First Amendment was made possible by the Republcan majority--

And now the fire sale of U.S. sovereignty in pursuit of the "new tone" [read "neutered tone"].
