Good News!!!
I have nothing against Andy Card, but if any post at the White House needs fresh blood, it's the Chief of Staff. He's been at it for a long time, and he has to be seriously fried after all this time.

It's a miracle he stayed alive in that job for nearly six years. He's hinted before that he wanted to retire. Well done, Mr. Card. You've earned your rest.

Hmmmm, I wonder who was advising Jorge to go for amnesty but call it something else because his (Bush's) constituency is "stupid?" Might it have been Andy? Methinks Andy was the one pushing Meiers also.
Another RINO bites the dust?

Normally, I would have tought "about time!" but I am beginning to wonder if the problem is not at TOP - with the president really?
I confess I am having a lots of second thoughts about this guy....
Sure, he is better than Clinton!... but I began to have doubts when he nominated Miers... that was a decision that still hunts me. A decision that shows lack of guts, and not very strong convictions when it comes to choosing the "best" candidate for the job.
And I also thinking a lot about what a "compassionate conservative" really means.... I never paid attention to it really, but judging by the series of missteps of late... I am wondering, who is this guy? Is he a Globalist?... Is he on the pocket of the business camp?... etc, etc

Good...now I wish we could get Karen Hughes in there but it looks like it's going to be Joshua Bolton. I don't know anything about him except that he comes from budget.

Thank you Mr. Card for your most honorable service to the President and to the United States of America. I and all my fellow Americans are in your debt. I thank you and wish you and your family all the best! And lots of R-n-R and sleep!
PS: I REALLY look forward to reading your Book! lol

I sure he really just wants to spend more time with his family. Right?

If I didn't think he'd be replaced by another RINO, I'd care.

Thank you for your service to our President and to our country, Mr. Card.
It was, however, time for a change. I'm glad you also came to that realization.

This changes nothing.
The President will still ram amnesty for illegal invaders through Congress with the help of such noted conservatives as Teddy Kennedy, spend our grandchildren's money like a drunken sailor, and keep our boys in the military in between both sides of the civil war in Iraq.
Maybe W can try to sell some more vital strategic American assets off to democratic muslim Christian killer nations in the next 3 years, eh?
To: Arkinsaw
What was this all about? Amen.
