I'm probably a little early, but I see on Fox that they're already showing the ritual votes of the leaders, etc.
Mike Medved is getting live commentary from his brother in Israel right now, if anyone is interested.
He just said the clear result that the government will be run by a center-left coalition.
.. and Jonathan mentions that Bibi will likely leave Knesset and retire from public life.
Yes. This is a good call for Medved to take today - some news from the ground!
OH BOY Medved on tape delay in my area NUTS
Be sure to catch the second hour if you can, that's the one where his brother calls in with reports & analysis.
Medved comes on here in Las Vegas at 3, but I get him via the internet live 12-3pm, then I get Michael Savage live from 3-6, via the internet also!
...and with Bibi gone, Silvan Shalom runs Likud. He voted for disengagement and would likely bring Likud into coalition with Kadima.
Don't assume a center-left coalition. Kadima-Yisrael Beitenu-Gil-Likud-UTJ is a possibility, especially with Gil taking from 7-8 seats.
Honestly, I don't believe it makes any difference whatsoever who wins the elections as long as all the candidates vow to insure that Iran never gets the nukes it seeks, and they all do.
West Bank, Jerusalem, Gaza, borders, walls, that's all fixin' to head to the back burner, and soon.
I have no doubt that if Iran gets its bomb, it will use it. If Israel attempts to stop them from getting them, that's going to make all hell break loose. This may be precisely why there such a record low turnout for the elections because maybe Israeli's also feel this way.
That's my 2 cents worth anyway.
BTW, I would have liked to see Bibi elected again.
The results show a centre-left coalition as all about inevitable.
I would love to be proven wrong. I hope I will be. But...the number's don't look good. And I think the centre-left coalition now will not damage that can't be undone for decades.

Your pragmatic hero. How many Jews will lose their homes pragmatically, 25,000?
Ah, don't worry, they don't count. They're extremists.
