BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - A man who threw a house party for local teenagers to keep them off the streets was killed when one partygoer showed up to the festivities with a gun.
Aderian Gaines was fatally shot Saturday night by a teen he had just disarmed and thrown out of his home minutes earlier after catching him with a pistol, witnesses said. The young man reportedly returned around 9:30 p.m., regained possession of the gun and confronted Gaines in his bedroom, where he shot him twice in the chest.

Americans did this work before and would do it again. Illegal Aliens say they are here for jobs, if so that's great because it means we don't need a welfare system, there are plenty of jobs for pretty much anybody willing to work.

We have always brought in immigrants and should continue to do so, but we should be more discriminating, say at a minimum the potential immigrant should know enough english to communicate, have no history of criminal activity, currently healthy, and posessed of a high school education (for adults), and agree to waiver any form of welfare or state assistance for themselves or any dependents.

That line about doing jobs "Americans won't do" is the purest of rubbish.

I have only one comment. If my ethnicity did that, we'd go to jail. I don't think you can do that without a permit in my locale, but I could be wrong.

These demonstrations seem to be spontaneous and unplanned. It is making me angry whereas I've usually been the one to cut them some slack.

Good news tho, I heard on one of the talk shows all may not be lost, Frist is to present his bill tomorrow and he said he wouldn't pass the one the rest of the Senators passed today. (as I understand it)

I've heard of very few arrests from among the thousands of "demonstrators" who, without benefit of permit, walked/blocked not only major streets but freeways. Arrests of illegals or Mexicans much too hot a potato in illegal alien haven LA.

They're not spontaneous. A.N.S.W.E.R. is just one group behind these demonstrations.

March 25 -- Today in downtown Los Angeles, over 1 million people demonstrated in support of immigrant rights. This was the largest demonstration in the history of California.

The A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition provided logistical support and mobilized for today's demonstration in Los Angeles. Thousands of A.N.S.W.E.R.'s yellow and black placards reading "Amnistía, Full Rights for All Immigrants" were held throughout the march. A.N.S.W.E.R. also organized a major contingent in the march. The rally was co-chaired by

• Juan José Gutiérrez, Director of Latino Movement USA, a member of the A.N.S.W.E.R. LA Steering Committee;
• Javier Rodríguez, a noted immigrant rights activist; and
• Jesse Díaz, a UC-Riverside professor who helped initiate the march.

Critical to the turnout was the mobilization night and day for over a week of famous Latino radio announcers from every Spanish-language station, including Piolín el Cucuy. The organizers announced a national meeting on April 8 in Dallas, Texas of all the Latino immigrant rights leaders in the country to strategize for a national work stoppage in late May under the banner "A Day Without An Immigrant."

In the coming days and weeks, A.N.S.W.E.R. organizers, volunteers and activists will continue to participate in all levels of the mass movement in defense of immigrant rights and the defeat of the Sensenbrenner Bill.

You know, I have never really had any cultural problem with Hispanics being here before, but this demonstration and all these Mexican flags are starting to make me feel a little less comfortable.
