These photos were taken at Ground Zero, the World Trade Center site in New York, on September 13, 2001.
They were taken by someone named "Ed" who was allowed into the area by a member of the emergency response crew, at a time when all civilians -- including most journalists -- were forbidden to enter the area. As a result, these photos are just about the only close-ups ever taken of the World Trade Center site so soon after the 9/11 attacks.

My guess is these were shot after the hard rain storm on the night of the 13th by at least two days.
Kerry is a socialist prick.
The flags are great but they were not there on the 13th or for days after that. These pictures were taken after the original SAR effort had been ended...probably after the 17th or so.
I don’t know why I’m bumping this thread. Sadness at seing the Republican party fall so fast and so hard? I don’t know.
Is this the best we can do as Republicans on 1/29/2008? Where are the Republican leaders?
Is it possible so many Americans HAVE forgotten?
You don’t need a reason to bump this.....thanks for doing it.
The instant grave site of so many innocent, unsuspecting Americans
