Students Leave 4 Dallas High Schools, March for Immigrant Rights

DALLAS Students from four Dallas high schools have walked out of morning classes today and marched to an Oak Cliff park to rally for rights for illegal immigrants.

There's no word on how many students are participating in the demonstration. But K-X-A-S T-V in Fort Worth reports police are blocking off traffic in and around Kiest Park in the Oak Cliff section of southwest Dallas.

The station reports students from Sunset, Kimball, Adamson and Molina high schools are marching to the park.

On Saturday, about 15-hundred people marched in downtown Dallas in support of immigrant rights.

How long before school administrators figure out that "walking out of school for a cause/rally" is the equivalent of calling in a bomb threat, i.e. it's just another means to take the day off of school....?

For those of you from the Dallas area...... I went to Trader's Village (AKA little Mexico) yeasterday. I was packed with people. VERY few caucasians or blck people. Anyway, I went into a booth that sold stickers and decals for cars and trucks. You know... like the Calvin stickers where he is pissing on ford, or dodge, or chevy. They had one of Calvin pissing on "La Migra"...or imigration officials. I asked if he had on of Calvin pissing on illegal immigrants( of which I am sure several thousand were there) and he got all ticked off and refused to answer me. My wife got mad at me for being a "smart@ss" What really struck me was even though they were selling beer out there...everyone seemed to have a beer..there was not a single cop or security officer to be seen.

Hey kids -- you better not waste time marching out of school. You need all the school you can get. All those illegal immigrants you support so much will be taking up all the jobs that don't require higher education here soon. Heck, they will start to take up those higher education spots as well. You better stay in your desk and maintain a 4.0 if you hope to have a chance to get into college and stay out of the welfare line.

Anything else is unacceptable.

Freedumb's Guest Worker Program

1. Only offer jobs when a potential worker is matched to a true opening at prevailing wages (we could borrow from the Cal State system to determine "prevailing wages") to ensure we don't push down the local economy.
2. Require that the guest worker apply in his/her native country
3. Require and that there be regular "breaks" where they have to return to their country for 3 or 4 contiguous weeks per year.
4. No family allowed, except for brief visits here. They worker can visit their native country all they want, within the normal limits of employment agreements.
5. After a certain number of years of following the rules, they could apply for temporary permanent residency and them follow the standard path to permanent residency and citizenship now in place.
6. The employer would be required to offer health insurance, at the most reasonable rates possible, and it would be mandatory for the guest worker to enroll and pay for it.
7. No particular country would be "preferred" and participant slots would be reflective of the respective native country's overall population, with caps established by a commission.
