The admin fixed the post, it should be OK now. The importance of this is that the Chinese Intelligence had information of Iraq moving the WMD to Syria according to the report.

Jveritas, thanks for an outstanding thread. I agree that the information about the Chinese is still outstanding confirmation of the WMD/Syria connection.
I appreciate Relig Mod's decisiveness and Ernest's watchfulness. Thanks to all.

" Also in the letter it show the fear of the French to join the war because of the heavy losses that will suffer.. " Not that French are fearless of military losses, but I presume that $100 billion in Iraqi oil contracts (as a starter) was more critical to Frances attempted of Iraqi Freedom.

"I agree that the information about the Chinese is still outstanding confirmation of the WMD/Syria connection" Do we know if this is actual confirmation or if several nations were just repeating the same few bits of intel?

.....the US state secretary went to Damascus ....
This was Colin Powell? This implies that there was evidence that we had knowledge that the WMD were moved before the war. The fog of diplomacy prevented absolute verification.

A. [Their] [French and German envoys'] phone has been wiretapped for surveillance and they were followed and also the there was phone wiretap of the Syrian Jamal Saba for surveillance because they vist him and to control their relations and we will show the results later. Sure hope they got a FISA warrant or the Democrats might call for Saddam's censure!

My Post #6 has already been deleted. I'm not sure what I said, but obviously you were correct that it needed to be deleted.

"How would he know that from this document?" I didnt read the document. What do you think of my suggestion that this may not confirm that WMDs went to Syria as so many are claiming?
