Being a male I never had this great dream of a prom being the greatest thing in my life. I was just looking for a chance to get laid.

Same here – I wore a white dinner jacket with my black Sunday suit pants and shoes.

LOL, I think we splurged on my prom gown...(not having a lot of money in my family)...

..and my dress probably came from JC Penneys or Sears :) ---I can still describe it in detail.

My curfew after the prom......midnight :)

BTW, it was a wonderful night ....in a very sweet & proper manner of speaking.

And four years later, I married the guy who took me :)

I graduated a long time ago 1960. I paid $16.00 to rent a white jacket and pants , paid for out of the money I earned in the tobacco fields of Southern Maryland, I drove the 1951 Buick Special I had bought for $300.00 and had that bad boy shining like a new dollar, but then I always kept it shined. I think the corsage cost me $6.00 and of course her mother pinned it on my date as she didnt want me getting that close to the Mams that early in the evening. LOL

I have been trying unsuccessfully to remember who I took to my prom and can't. Sure made a lifelong memory for me.
