LOL, I think we splurged on my prom gown...(not having a lot of money in my family)...

..and my dress probably came from JC Penneys or Sears :) ---I can still describe it in detail.

My curfew after the prom......midnight :)

BTW, it was a wonderful night ....in a very sweet & proper manner of speaking.

And four years later, I married the guy who took me :)

Congrats on the great prom and marriage.
I went to three proms in total with three different girls and I bet they did not even spend a thousand dollars total between the three of them (in fact I am pretty positive on that) and we still had a great time. The thing with this girl is that her father is probably some producer or someone like that who probably thinks ten thousand dollars is what one hundred dollars is to us. I still don't think it is right, but that could be an explanation. Can you imagine her marriage...one million dollars at least (for three years max before the divorse of course - LOL).
