Erma Byrd passed away early this morning. I had met her once during the 2000 election, and even then, she was a small, frail woman. She was quite pleasant, however. May God bless her and be with the senator in this sad time. No matter what we think of the guy, they were together for decades, and I am sure he loved her very much.

Proud of freepers response. Though most here dislike Mr. Byrd, they show class by not using this time to attack him.
