Campaign (Now) Says (Katherine) Harris Won't Turn To Inheritance.
Orlando Sentinel - harris Campaign ^ | Jim Stratton

In an effort to jump-start her sputtering Senate campaign, Rep. Katherine Harris went on national television invoking the memory of her late father and saying the money he left her will form the financial foundation of her challenge to Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson.

Now the Harris campaign says that's not the case.

Campaign spokeswoman Morgan Dobbs said Thursday that Harris will sell her existing assets rather than rely on money from her father, a bank executive who died in January.

The Republican from Longboat Key appeared on national television saying she would use the money left to her by her father to infuse her campaign with a badly needed shot of financing.

The announcement was the centerpiece of her appearance on Fox News, where Harris reaffirmed her commitment to the race.

"I'm going to take his legacy that he gave to me, everything I have, and I'm going to put it in this race," she told Sean Hannity. "I'm going to commit my legacy from my father -- $10 million."

A moment later, Hannity asked, "This is money from your father?"

"Yes," replied Harris.

I am past bored with the MSM and the people who follow them.

Especially for this Florida race. - of course the media is going to do her every chance, but this is only the warm up for 08.

Does everyone just have to listen to this?
It is hard enough to beat him without having to beat ourselves over the head every time an article is published.

Nelson is vulnerable and he knows it, their party knows it, and even the MSM knows it.

"They are the FReepers who joined a month or two ago who are promoting KH as hard as they can"

Name some names.

Also, what alternative candidate to Katherine Harris do you have in mind? Anyone?

I wasn't referencing a pic of Katherine Harris on a horse, I was clearly referencing Adrienne Barbeau. I was just saying that she looks pretty rough these days, which in fact she does.

That remark clearly wasn't about KH, but rather about low level hollywood starlet who banked on her looks and bustline for many years and now doesn't have her looks anymore. That's an entirely legitimate observation. Your commentary therefore is remarkably off the target.

I think you owe me an apology - I clearly wasn't speaking of KH in that post. Care to do the right thing and say you were wrong about my post and say I'm sorry?

Do you consider Ken Mehlman a GOP 'bog shot'?

Here's what he said about her on Sunday night at the Lincoln Day dinner in Sarasota:
"Harris has an incredible record in Congress and she will make a good senator! And he added that she has accomplished more in her time in Congress than Nelson has in the Senate!

But of course all you political experts know more than the RNC Chairman!

What's ugly about it? Her arched back, 'look at these knockers' pose she struck on that infamous H&C interview DOES in fact remind me of a horny dentist's wife hustling for a dalliance on the sly at a cocktail party.

What does it remind you of?

I do consider him a GOP bigshot, and I consider those comments to be ambiguous bluster. That's because they are ambiguous bluster.

What if someone spoke about your wife, girl friend, or daughter, like that.

Are you a troll or what? You are making sleazeball, chauvinistic comments on FR referencing b movie stars in the context of KH and then telling us she reminds you of horny dentist's wives, plus you aren't impressed with the way she (and her knockers) have aged? Excuse the paraphrasing but your KH posts are too repellent and chauvinistic to reread.

I got the gist of them, quit nitpicking now by asking ME for an apology? Huh? Get off the KH threads and apologize to us for this slimy misogynist venom.

Are you not familiar with how the Florida media works? IMO, that is what is frustrating Katherine's campaign.

The Florida media is cut-throat. I'm sure Katherine will replace the last quitter with someone much better.

If my wife, girlfriend, or daughter looked and reminded them of an older, horny dentist's wife hustling for a dalliance on the sly at a cocktail party, I'd have to reluctantly agree with them.

Exactly.....Babs Boxer's lastest fundraising letter says that KH is 'a tough campaigner and can beat him'....but 'Dems can't let that happen'.

In the sense of getting publicity, no, I don't think Ken Mehlman is a big enough name. She needs big names that will draw crowds at public events. The RNC chairman talking to the party faithful will not get the job done; in fact, from the sound of things, it didn't even help her campaign all that much financially.

You know Hitman, what is so funny about your Jayne Mansfield post is I'm sure you are not hip enough to even know what Mansfield was doing "right before she died". As if.

Will JEB be big enough 'bigshot' for you?

He's said he will campaign for her!

BTW what are you doing to help elect conservatives in VA?

Another Freeper suggested that KH was the Adrienne Barbeau of our generation, so I responded jokingly that Adrienne Barbeau is the Adrienne Barbeau of our generation. It's all up in the thread on prior posts, if you care to read & comprehend them.

My remarks have to do with Adrienne Barbeau's looks fading, not KH's. You continue to misconstrue my comments and continue to correct yourself.

If you don't reread the earlier posts in the interests of clarity, that's your problem. You don't want to read something - the danger is you might learn something and discover that you miscontrused my comments, and that speaks volumes for you.

That you take strange pride in not wanting to clarify the comments further speaks volumes for you. PSSST - it isn't good!

There is no misogyny in my posts - just a wisecrack about how Adrienne Barbeau looks these days and how KH's arched back 'look at mommy' poses make her look more comical than she already is. A difficult task, but KH has risen to the occasion (without the use of our patented cross-your-heart bra)!

I think the national media did the hit on KH back in 2000. She has never recovered. To the extent that the Florida media plays that same tune, I'm certain that you are right.

You know Californiajones, what is so funny about this post is that I never posted about Jayne Mansfield on this thread.

Is English your first language? You're responding to things I didn't post, and even using quotation marks when attempting to quote me. Odd, out of place, and maybe just a little bit nutty.
