Kelo has nothing to do with this project, the ability to use eminent domain to build roads was established years and years ago.
Most of what I've read from rural opponents (letters to editors, rants here) have suggested that they don't know much about the actual proposal, because most of the arguments are based on straw men, misconceptions, and myths. I'd urge researching material from both sides and don't simply take the opponents word for it. Too many flat out lies flying around about this Trans Texas Corridor.
Well, "concrete" is what these new roads are all about!
