During a trip to the Inland Empire on Friday, Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., didn't hold back her opinion of Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., and an immigration bill he has introduced. "It's anti-faith based,'' Boxer said. "It's inhumane. Sensenbrenner is inhumane.''
Speaking to reporters at The Sun, Boxer said the border desperately needs increased enforcement, but once somebody slips past, the issue is different. Help from the federal government for education, prisons and health care is then needed, she said.
Sensenbrenner's bill HR-4437 would call for employers to check documents submitted by new employees against a federal database to verify their authenticity and make it a crime for citizens to help undocumented immigrants.
Boxer said a jobs program needs to be created for illegal immigrants that would help them receive proper documentation. She said it is important to match undocumented workers with appropriate agricultural jobs.
"If they are clean and pay taxes, we need to get them on the path to legality," Boxer said.
The senator fell short of calling for amnesty for the 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States, but she said she did not support President Bush's guest-worker program.
"It's exploitation of the worst sort," she said.
The Senate Judiciary Committee has until Monday to draft a border-policy bill.
Ben, at last a Senator is speaking up for your position!
That's my Senator. Keep it up girl, you are so stupid that you always wind up hurting democrats.
And what faith is that Ms "abortion loving" Boxer?
Actually, I apologize to you CA folks. We have Specter.
BARBARA BOXER
Legalize illegal alien masses. The ultimate motor voter scam
"That's my Senator. Keep it up girl, you are so stupid that you always wind up hurting democrats."
How is she hurting the 'RATS... right now I say the 'RATS have an 80% chance of beating GOP on Border issues. GOP lawmakers (a really whimpy bunch anyway) will be tired of being called "racists" and will back down... like always. Our President will meet his old buddy Vicente and ask him to "help" us fight illegal immigration. This is of course ludicrous because that is where Mexico gets all its money. Bush will continue to tell us conservatives that we need a "civil debate." This can be translated: "you conservatives must STFU." All the homers like Rush and Hannity live above these problems (not like me... here in Fresno) so they won't care.
Yeah, and in Michigan, we've got (Dangerously Incompetent) Stabenow, (Clown) Conyers and (Looney-Left) Levin.
The ultimate trifecta of political boobery.
Larry, Moe and Curley got nothin' on them!
We'll know that a proposal is valid when it mandates deportation for any and all illegals, and stops all immigration from south of the border for at least 20 years.
>>"If they are clean and pay taxes, we need to get them on the path to legality," Boxer said.<<
After hiking across the desert a person isn't very clean. Can we deport them before they get a bath or do we have to give them soap and clean towels?
She knows perfectly well what she is saying is a lie.
This old windbag of a women needs only to pop in a tape about 9-11 and watch the twin towers come down and the Pentagon billow smoke and fire and while you are at it check out the plane that crashed in PA.
Is this what you want? A bunch of evil animals who want nothing more than to get into this country and destroy everything here.
You are as warped as they are Boxer. As well as the rest of the Rats you hang with.
You said a mouthful there, stand4somethin. I swear it's the absolute truth. As long as the burden is completely on the backs of the taxpayers; and these yokels can live their grand lifestyles; what do they care?
Didn't that actually already happen in Arizona/New Mexico with a ranch?
Definitely in the 'Top 5 Stupidest Things' I've ever heard a politician say.
' "It's anti-faith based," Boxer said.'
We are all in trouble when the left gets religion.
"Didn't that actually already happen in Arizona/New Mexico with a ranch?"
Did it? That's awful... I only meant that as an example of how absurd Boxer's position is.
