I stopped counting the number of inaccuracies, falsehoods, and outright examples of willful journalistic propaganda in this article.
If you try to examine each sentence as you read this, you will be tougher than me. I stopped after four paragraphs and figured any more would fry my brain. I have no idea what it takes to either write or read this pile of odious drivel.
But there is hope, dear FRiends! Go below to the link, click it, and become part of the Diana Irey for Congress Freeper Community.

Is there any chance this clown will be defeated in his next election? Or are his constituants as brain dead as are the swimmers?

Murtha said the White House tried to get military officials to attack him, which was largely unsuccessful.I got farther than you did, smooth, and came across this. Since the Administration is careful not to touch the issue of anyone's military service, other than to commend it, and since Murtha (fleas be upon him)provides no evidence for this remark, I conclude that it is untrue.

Murtha is an old fool ... he's been in the U.S. congress far to long, has been corrupted by the system and needs to be put out to pasture.

The ONLY exit strategy we ever had when real men were in charge was VICTORY. Ever since these pussy Dems and some weak kneed RHINOS started getting control of things we created a term called exit strategy. What a joke.

Now, Murtha said the Iraq conflict has deteriorated into a civil war...My prediction - that civil war will come to an abrupt end on election day 2006...

The GOP offered the rats a vote to leave Iraq. They declined. End of story. This guy might deserve attention in his local newspapers, not the national stage.
Like Kerry from 30 years ago, the old media loves a rat veteran critical of the evil GOP and will give him all the attention he wants.

Contribution to Irey just sent, thanks for the link.
Murtha deserves retirement after his lifetime of service, and it can't come soon enough!

"He said when Bush's father, George Herbert Walker Bush, contemplated the first Gulf War, he established a real international coalition ..."And where did that leave us? - with mass killing of Shiites, failed sanctions, dying Iraqi children, "international" oil-for-food fraud, and troops on the border pressuring for WMD inspections. In my neighborhood, what 'W" has done is called "learning from experience".

I have nothing but respect for the Marine Corps.
But there is an exception to every rule.
Lee Harvey Oswald and John Murtha are that exception.

He said he is also concerned about the $450 billion cost of the war and the burden on the American people.
Why is it that when the subject is war and/or defence a certain party suddenly become a bunch of wildeyed born again budget hawks in green eyeshades and red pencils?

["You have to wonder if they're competent," Murtha said]
Though difficult, I forced myself to read the entire mess. Between his Monday morning quarterbacking and Amy Zalar's embellishments it's a real piece of work. Could she be his daughter?
His competency statement is laughable. I honestly wonder if he is losing his faculties. If he keeps releasing this kind of trash, I believe it will help Diana Irey.
I'm on her email list. Thanks for the ping.

Okay, I read through it quickly. I would attempt to debunk it line for line, but I'm just too tired for that! I want to highlight this bit of info.
Murtha has had intimate involvement with major war decisions during his years in Congress. He was first elected in 1974.
What MAJOR WAR decisions have been made since 1974?
Did he support the abandonment and slaughter of the South Vietnamese?
