So obviously global warming is not an effect brought on by mankind alone as liberals would like to have you believe. It is a cyclical event which mankind contributes to, but not the cause of.

Well, you know, Doc, no matter how your slice this story, I reckon we're all doomed. Yup.
Notice, please, how the author refers to the Falklands as the Maldive Islands? That's mighty strange, dontcha think?

Right!!!! They are standing too close to the elephant. they need to step back and see the cycles for what they really are......real big.
The amount of carbon in the atmosphere was higher back 130,000 years ago. Today it is sequestered in fossil fuels which it is our job to burn and release back into the atmosphere where it can be recycled by plants into sugars and down the line. The Earth was a tropical place.
So what caused it to chill.... We know all this because carbon dioxide is a limiting factor in plant growth. Plants would not have evolved to the point that we see them today if CO2 were in short supply back then. CO2 is the main ingredient in plant growth.

I finally figured it out.
Land ice, when melted will cause flooding. ocean ice already has its mass displaced so it won't cause a rise in the ocean.
Ok, I am clear on that. Now someone has to explain to me that if we are going through a period of global warming due to corporations polluting the environment, if they stop, will it cause global cooling which will also kill us?

Miami would be a memory, Bangkok a soggy shadow of its former self and the Maldive Islands would vanish if melting polar ice keeps fueling a faster-than-expected rise in sea levels, scientists reported on Thursday. And huge swaths of prairie would become habitable in Asia and North America. Its a good bargain.
I suggest people add four inches to the level of their building pads in Florida, sometime over the next century or two, and stop worrying about it. Or invest in Yellowknife real estate opportunities. Do it now, before it thaws.

That one actually slipped right by me, but perhaps he was confused with the South American Islands known as Islas Malvinas? (Falklands)

Maybe the ocean level won't rise at all, maybe arrid parts of the earth will absorb the water. Who knows maybe the sahara desert will become a jungle!
