School Cancels Diversity Day because it was Becoming Too Diverse by Kim Trobee
Cancellation came about when ex-gays asked to address students.
Today was supposed to be Diversity Day at Viroqua High School in Wisconsin. It was called off, not by angry parents, but by a simple request to allow former homosexuals speak to students along with gay activists. Diversity Day was supposed to represent all races, faiths and ideas but Rena Lindevaldsen with Liberty Counsel says when Christians and ex-gays demanded a voice the district canceled the whole thing.
Theres a bigger problem at issue here across America, the ex-gay perspective is not being represented. Our students are literally being lied to about homosexuality and the devastating lifestyle and the consequences of that.
Chris Kruger is with the Pride Center, a gay advocacy group that was slated to participate. He claims concern for the feelings of gay students.
Having a Christian viewpoint there would not necessarily be a bad thing, however, if it was a hateful group, one that would not present an atmosphere where we would feel comfortable talking, then that would definitely impede a discussion.
Lindevaldsen argues that barring certain voices from participating doesnt encourage diversity or tolerance. It simply allows a privileged few to silence others.
We have groups that say theyre promoting tolerance but what theyre really doing is indoctrinating our youth with a particular message and are refusing to give the whole story.
Attorneys for the district counseled administrators to cancel the event calling it a hot button issue that they would rather not deal with.

PFOX Note: Is your workplace, government agency or public school holding a gay pride/diversity/tolerance event of some kind? If so, would you request that they also include an ex-gay speaker or hold an ex-gay event? If they hold a gay event or speaker, then they must also provide equal access to other sexual orientations, including ex-gays.
PFOX (Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays) will help you by providing speakers and informative handouts for the ex-gay event. Contact PFOX at pfox_exgays@hotmail.com

Brilliant. I love it. I'm sick of these libs crowing about how tolerant they are toward everyone except people they disagree with. Let's see a lot more of this approach!

And if Chris Kruger makes Christians uncomfortable?

Couple this with the readings of "Animal Farm" in high school and it's no wonder it was canceled!

They confuse the people around here by calling it "Unity Day" or "Unity Week." Ask your children? Its a code name for "Diversity Day" or "Diversity Week."

Still "Diversity" here. Pushed and promoted by liberal white teachers trying to show how sensitive they are to others. Funny how they have no minority friends or associates...this is just their way to be condescending while pretending they care.

This is a great idea. Hoist them on their own petard, so to speak.
Nine times out of ten, the "tolerant ones" will cancel the event rather than allow dissenting voices. This should be considered a "win".

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Education of the young is NEVER neutral. It is axiomatic!
So.....When government runs government schools, the government WILL establish the political, cultural, and religious worldview of some, while at the same time actively and deliberately undermine the worldview of others. THAT HAS POLITICAL, CULTURAL, AND RELIGIOUS CONSEQUENCES for all the children in the schools.
Down on Animal Farm High the worldview of some WILL live in the Farmer's House, while that of others will sleep in the barn.
This incident of Christianity is merely one of HUNDREDS of curriculum and policy issues that are the source of community cat fights every day.
Then, please consider that government schools are a price -fixed monopoly, burden parents with very, very high taxes, have poorly educated the parents themselves, and are compulsory. Then when private schools are scarce, and the parents too ignorant and too burdened with taxes to homeschool, the government offers the parents a "choice": Send your child to the government indoctrination camp or have armed police at the door. Some "choice"! ( sarc)
Not only for this incident but for hundreds of other issues. Government schools crush freedom of thought and will ALWAYS be supporting the values of some families while actively and deliberately destroying the most cherished values of others.
Government schools are NOT reformable!
Government schools are an ABOMINATION!
Solution: Begin the process of privatizing universal K-12 education.

A real "win" would be for so many parents to withdraw their kids to privately or home school their kids that government schools would collapse!
That would be the real "win".
Liberals need the government schools. Their is no way that ordinary parents who go to work every day in the free market would tolerate the drivel being force fed to their kids every day.
Remember government schools are NOT reformable! They are an abomination.

Next time we should make sure that the Diversity people include speakers who masturbate.
They, too, need a special class.

This is how to stop them! Diversity or Unity or Gay Pride are just code words for the official rubber stamp that allows homosexual predators access to your children. Just to "educate" them, just to get them thinking that homosex is not so bad, give it a try, etc. It is the seduction of schoolchildren in the classroom by adults who engage in homosexual acts.
The people who stood up and refused to let this go on without trying to present the other side are very brave, and the sneaking, lying child predators ran away. This could be a plan.
There is a group in MA called Article 8 Alliance. These are parents who have been fighting the extremely strong, taxpayer funded GLSEN homosexual orgies for years. One of the most startling and horrifying things I've ever seen on this subject was posted at their website, a handbook that defies belief. It was passed out to middle school students and it contains explicit instruction on how to enter the homosex world, a page discouraging the use of condoms, and at the back, a listing of bars in Boston where a young boy can get served booze and meet adult men. When GLSEN was caught doing this, they said it was a simple mix up in pamphlets. Liars. Cowards. Predators. Child rapists.
*Oh, not MY child's school. Everywhere else, but not MY child's school* If you have a child in any school, you have a huge problem. "Diversity"/"Unity" are words that now make my gut twist.

Please, I didn't mean to attribute this quote to me. It's by George Orwell.

I am a HUGE fan of the ex-gay movement!! More power to them in keeping THEIR message out there!I am too, mostly because those folks really raise the blood pressure of the militant gays. They maintain that there's no such thing as an "ex-gay" and that programs to reorient gays are hate-filled, harmful, etc. Apparently the medical community has published sympathetic articles showing how the movement somehow damages gays. It's funny stuff when people advocating diversity in sexual orientation band together to reject certain sexual orientations. Hypocrisy at its finest.

This is an approach that seems to have worked, at least in this instance. In other instances, ex gays have been threatened and maliciously attacked. I give these people a lot of credit, for leaving that deadly lifestyle, and for speaking out, amidst all those threats and attacks. They should have a lot more support than they do, they shouldn't be out there fighting this culture war on their own, so to speak.
Instead, in may places, the police protect the pro gay protesters, and government officials call their message "hate speech" This had happened repeatedly in MA. Course MA is all democRat all the time.
