New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer has been struggling to counter the public perception that he has a "temperament" problem. If his recent treatment of H&R Block is anything to go by, he needs a few more anger management sessions.
Mr. Spitzer blew a gasket last Friday after Block CEO Mark Ernst had the temerity to deny, in an op-ed in this newspaper, the AG's charges that his company had fraudulently sold retirement savings plans. His Lord High Executioner threatened Block with "vast fines" for refusing to roll over. And he further warned that he might now find it more difficult to keep H&R Block "alive and viable" (read: corporate indictment), and promised to "dig deeper" into its affairs.

Good on WSJ, not afraid to call 'em as they see 'em.
I'm still waiting for some enterprising journo to dig into why Spitzer kept Dietrich Snell from testifying before Curt Weldon's committee on Able Danger. FWIW, Spitzer's Captain Queeg-like personality traits are the least of my concerns with him.
Thankfully I doubt Spitzer could ever get elected to anything south of New Jersy.
This bum is going to win in November and that will put New York on the fast track to the toilet. NYS we become mexifornia east as the weak and rino filled senate will crumble and the rat will control the state top to bottom.
Allied Van Lines says New York is the number one exit state in the country. What will it be with this swine in charge?
"It was the strawberries!"
In as much as I support going after corporate corruption, Spitzer has proven himself to be nothing more than a government-backed shake down artist. Throw a bunch of charges out in a glossy press conference. Make the other side sweat for a few months and then accept a cash settlement in the hundreds of millions or billions. Not one of his big cases has gone to trial. When any of his 'targets' stands up to him, he throws a hissy fit, enraged that someone would have the temerity to do so.
He would be a very dangerous man to have in political office. Then again, if the New Yorkers elect him, they deserve him.
Remember, north of kingston, NY is a very "red" state.
Elliot Spitzer is a person who needs to go away. He is not worthy of the people of New York. He has some sick mentality that if he indicts enough companies he will be elected governor. His name is spit. His operation is totalitarian. he needs to be gotten rid of.
Now I'm sure I will be indicted by the bastard. Maybe he can get me for posting on Free Republic within two years of a presidental election. Or maybe he can indict me for being a human being. That would follow his previous actions.
And the key.
