A former aide spills the dirt on Fidel Castro
Miami Herald.com ^ | 3/23/2006 | Oscar Corral

Posted on 03/23/2006 8:01:46 AM PST by Mike Bates

As part of Fidel and Raúl Castro's inner circle, Delfín Fernández learned titillating secrets -- everything from why the Cuban leader incinerates his dirty underwear to his cravings for pricey Spanish ham.

Oh, Fidel's former gofer confirms, too, the heftier ''secrets'' that Cuba experts have talked about for years: how the brothers assemble dossiers on foreign businessmen who want to invest in Cuba, for instance.

It's Fernández's knowledge about Fidel Castro's dirty laundry, though -- literally and figuratively -- that has made him a cause célbre in South Florida. No detail about the Castro brothers seems too small for sharing with the world.

Fernández says chief of bodyguards, Bienvenido ''Chicho'' Perez, told him the Cuban leader has his underwear burned to foil any assassination plots with chemicals during laundering.

Burns his underwear? Guess he's not like Klintoon, who donated his underwear and then took a tax deduction for it.

Burns his underwear?

Heck, he ought to sell it on Ebay and make a mint from the marxist aholes who still worship his tyrannical arse. After all, if you can't go to Cuba to sniff the throne, huffing Castro's underwear would be the next best thing.

Castro can't live forever.

Castro can't live forever.

Yes, but so far he's gone through Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush I, Klintoon and now Bush II.

Did I miss anyone?

He has to. Those fatigues he's been sporting for going on 50 years are Cuba's version of "Old Crusty."

"Did I miss anyone?"

Even "Jason" died. We need to prepare for the aftermath. Castro is Afraft in the tropics.

"Burns his underwear"

No wonder there is such a stench coming from Cuba.

Its still all Kennedy's fault for letting the Bay of Pigs happen while all those brave freedom fighters died.

Hmmm. Nothing about what Castro has on those businessmen all those "useful idiots" that visit him. I'd like to know the contents of those videos...

Our neighbors to the north LOVE to vacation in Castro's Carribean paradise. I have heard them rave about the weather and the resorts (all-inclusive) and how warm and friendly the Cubans are.

Of course, they also talk about leaving little gifts on their beds for the cleaning staff.....like razors, over the counter medicines, vitamins and other goodies.

They just don't get it!

Kennedy brought us, by his craven behavior during the Bay of Pigs incident:

Vietnam
Hippies
Cold War
Carter
Iran Hostage Crisis
WTC bombing #1
Iraq War #1
WTC bombing #2
Iraq War #2
Massively out from under the porch Moose Limbs.
Maybe WW3
And every immigrant from the whole world living in the US
Not to mention our salaries eroded down to the world level (which stinks).

Thanks Rats, thanks President Kennedy.

Had he just taken over Cuba, following their outrageous provocation with the missiles, we could now be enjoying some excellent real estate and tourism and they would be free. And the Rooskies and all the wannabes would have been too scared to mess with us. And we would be at peace.

IMHO.

"Fernández said there's a black market trade in sensitive videos of Spanish businessmen -- videos made by Cuban agents. 'Fidel is an avid consumer of those materials,' he said."

Huh?

Good points, but didn't LBJ name Marshall to the Supremes?

I am happy to blame JFK nevertheless.
