The law being discussed on this thread. There is disagreement about what 'assist' means, and whether the Church is included in the people who cannot 'assist' the illegal aliens.
Church Bishops and Cardinals have been speaking against this bill for a while; they feel that unless the current text is revised, this proposed law will be used against priests and nuns by an unsympathetic federal prosecutor.
Hillary is a late comer and an opportunistic witch who is exploiting this issue.
Illegals don't get guarantees and neither do abettors of criminals.
The law being discussed on this thread.
Show me the law. Post it here.
Perhaps I missed the post where it was being discussed.
Thank you.

This is not the same as a law requiring the church to become informents for the government, and to force them to rat on illegals.
Have you read this thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1601841/posts?page=249#249
Yes. I have. Using the Bible to justify illegal aliens in the U.S. is wrong whether "republicans" or democrats do it.
I am not using the Bible to justify illegal aliens in the U.S. (I don't think Hillary is either). I am using the Bible to justify the Church HELPING illegal aliens in the U.S. The government has every right to take reasonable measures for border control and enforcement of immigration laws. I do not believe criminalizing "one hot meal and one night's shelter" would be reasonable. Do you?
this is from rev walis, who is the DNC's religion consultant. The hired him to help democrats spin their words into red state speak.
It is ironic Hilary clinton would take a page out of the homosexual advocate propaganda manual. She is claiming that a person who died (at one point) is really a sympathiser with her cause. This is no different than other homosexuals claiming other dead historic figures is the 100% absence of any proof. (lincoln, washington, etc...)
The democrat party will never have religious credibility by association. The will only gain religious hypocracy.
I believe that anyone who helps these invaders is part of the problem not the solution; the solution being enforced borders. Helping them has the same effect that Bush's amnesty offers have had - increased illegal traffic.
Perhaps if they knew they were committing a crime and stopped supporting these illegals the invasion would stop.

After reading several threads with your postings I do not really believe this.
Agree to disagree as well - regardless of whether you believe me or not.
I think there is a HUGE difference between the "good samaratin" who finds someone and helps and the organizations which are actually using the EXCUSE of aid to facilitate illegal activity.
IOW they are adding water stations in order to use humanitarian aid to enable illeal entry into the USA in areas which otherwise would not support human life.
HR 4437 does not make a distinction between the individual Good Samaritan who would do this once in his / her lifetime and huge organizations doing it every day.
IOW they are adding water stations in order to use humanitarian aid to enable illeal entry into the USA in areas which otherwise would not support human life.
There is also the fact that many of these same organizations are claiming tax free status while committing these offenses. Thus, we - you, me, and every other taxpayer, is subsidizing this criminality. I find this to be not only offensive, but intellectually dishonest on the part of this self-appointed do-gooders. A pox on all their houses.
"Individuals have the responsibility to be hospitable as they can to whomever they meet, but governments and people with authority and people under authority have other responsibilities as well.
"Our government has the charge of protecting its citizens and its resources first before hospitality. It is here to do right by its citizens and punish those who do wrong.
"Just as the head of a house has the charge of protect his family by preventing thieves and other undesirables from entering his house, so does the government. It has a responsibility to see that visitors arrive, stay, and depart in an orderly manner, for the good of its citizens first and for the good of the visitors second.
"Romans 13..."
Yes, we agree! Maybe we would chose a better rendering of Romans 13, but your comments are valid nonetheless.
