GOP Would Have Booted Jesus: Hill
New York Post Online ^ | March 23, 2006 | MAGGIE HABERMAN

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton ratcheted up her talk about religion yesterday - saying a GOP-sponsored bill making it a felony to be in the United States illegally would have "criminalized" Jesus.

Clinton, who's considered the Democratic front-runner for the 2008 White House race, made the comments at a hastily scheduled news conference about the House-passed bill aimed at illegal immigrants.

Why don't you let anyone who wants to, crash your home.

Your distinction, though advantageous for you, is disingenuous. They are here as lawbreakers, and those who aid them should be treated as the same. You may get your reward in heaven, but I'm inclined to think not...

From your post #135...

For a Christian, this parable explains more about what Jesus taught. According to Jesus we are to love our neighbor as we love oursleves.

Love is an emotion, but you are implying it also suggests action, are you not?

Is there a point a Christian can protect himself?

Or for that matter his NEIGHBORS who happened to be living there ALREADY because they were CITIZENS?

Love is an action but that's a red herring here. It doesn't mean to encourage your neighbor to be selfish or run rampant over other neighbors.

Because that is illegal, just as what they did crossing the border ALREADY is illegal. Did you hear what Ashley Smith did with that murderer in Atlanta, though, once he crashed her home?

How can Hillry possibly be correct on this one? This is a woman who wanted under her health care take over, to make it a crime, punishable by law of prison sentence, if a doctor provided care to anybody outside their proscribed region.

Now how does Hillry look upon the masses, they are her ticket to power. There is nothing Christian about her motives and she knows the methodology of deception and seduction by floating emotionally or religious views as her vehicle to gain and protect her power.

Hillry does NOT give a rats behind about anyone but herself.

Oh, THAT'LL win crossover votes.

I no longer worry about Hillary. She has NONE of Bill's skills.

Should offering Holy Communion to illegal aliens be outlawed?

But you have no right to do that! God wants you to make your home into a big campground and to be a butler to all who come there!

So, you agree with Hillary, is that it? You think she reads the Bible and prays about this before making statements like 'Republicans would've criminalized Jesus'?

This woman knows her Bible, doncha know?

Hillary Clinton, in comments critical of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s homeless policies, sought to remind all of us that “Christmas celebrates ‘the birth of a homeless child.’”

Punch here

If you KNOW they're not supposed to be there -- give them Holy Communion on the bus home.

"The alien himself who broke our law and us who made the law. Is our law supportable by the bible and teachings of Jesus?"

Yes---"...render unto Caesar...".

Also-- "..go, and sin no more..."

I've got absolutely no problem with helping the indigent--either those here legally, or foreigners IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY. But arguing for allowing any illegal who sneaks in to simply remain and eventually obtain legal resident status is a slap in the face of and theft from all those who abided by the law and immigrated legally--they should be deported.

That's right - and what are the verses right after "respect the law and pay your taxes"? Romans 13:8-10:

"Owe nothing to anyone, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery; you shall not kill; you shall not steal; you shall not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this saying, (namely) "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no evil to the neighbor; hence, love is the fulfillment of the law."

So, if you force me to choose between man's law and and God's law, guess which one I will choose?

So I guess she'll be changing her stance on gays, the death penality (for all types of crimes), abortion, and government sponsored faith-based initiatives. She has come a long way.

"You shall not steal" certainly rules out your abetting someone else to do so. The widow gave her mites... HER money. That was hers to give. She didn't give her neighbor's field. That wasn't hers to give.
