Tour guide trussell

Hi Everyone! Here we are for another trip to Mesa Verde. This portion is filled with many hidden treasures. Some of these ruins you...you have to look really hard to see.

This is one of my favorites. It's several layers of ruins, built into very small crevices in the rock face. Some of these go back as far as 100 feet into the mountain!

Others are just built in an area that you wouldn't expect to have homes. This one is in a canyon area, at the very end of the canyon.

Read about Mesa Verde Here: Mesa Verde National Park

Another one with layers of ruins. One in the open, on the ledge, another in the cave above it. Do you think that's a third layer just under the ledge? Looks like it might be to me.

There are some built on top of peaks. They appear to be totally vulnerable to the wind and elements.

Another beautifully crafted home, tucked into a small nook. The people were very good at what they did!

They were so confident in their work, they built right up to the cliff! I wouldn't want to live there if I were prone to sleepwalking!! That's a long way down!!

This could possibly explain where we got the idea for High Vaulted Ceilings!! :)

This one is built on the floor of the canyon, with very low ceilings.

Hi trussel,

Do you think these awesome structures were built by people with the help of peyote? I would need a little liquid courage at the very least!

I`ve never lived anywhere else, and haven`t traveled much,so am in awe at what the country has to offer for scenery in other areas.

Good evening Mayor! Hope you had a good day today.

Thanks for our beautiful lesson from God's Word. Nothing is too trivial for the Father to notice.

Could be? I don't think I could have been that close to cliffs without some liquid courage. :)
