Remember the whiny, insecure kid in nursery school, the one who always thought everyone was out to get him, and was always running to the teacher with complaints? Chances are he grew up to be a conservative.
At least, he did if he was one of 95 kids from the Berkeley area that social scientists have been tracking for the last 20 years. The confident, resilient, self-reliant kids mostly grew up to be liberals.
The study from the Journal of Research Into Personality isn't going to make the UC Berkeley professor who published it any friends on the right. Similar conclusions a few years ago from another academic saw him excoriated on right-wing blogs, and even led to a Congressional investigation into his research funding.

This is another instance of reverse psychology in use by the DNC. It helps, to get communists in Canada to write this stuff, because imported propaganda just has a new and improved flavor over the standard (AP) or other leftstream variety of propaganda.

Actually, there are plenty of self reliant liberals out there who can take care of themselves but need to feel morally superior by either telling everyone how to do things or holding a belief that other people just can't take care of themselves and need to be helped.
The DUmmies have had this up on their site since Monday.
This article made me laugh, since all the libs I knew in school were the hall monitor, rat you out to the teacher, getting their lunch money stolen types.

It probably was 10, but there are only five that show up in a search for "baby conservative."
I know I've been seeing the story over and over again. It's an interesting story, but I read it the first time it was posted.
People must be getting slow or doing more searches.

I do not believe these same "self reliant kids" have a majority representation in the US Military. Its up to the "whiney, insecure" kids to grow up to be real manly men to defend the country.

I would be interested to see the correlation to the same subjective traits on the parents part.
I would postulate that whiny tattletale liberal parents beget whiny tattletale kids who grow up to learn to be conservative when this behavior fails them.
